Combining with closures and dispensers

This bottle is intended as a stand-alone packaging and is compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems, such as screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators – according to the parameters selected at purchase. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation) to ensure that the packaging works reliably with your particular product.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Is this plastic packaging suitable for repeated use?

Yes, you can use the bottle repeatedly if proper hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable preparation, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %. Disinfection helps to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and prolongs the stability of your product.

How should I properly clean and disinfect the bottle before the next filling?

After emptying the packaging, we recommend first thoroughly rinsing the interior with lukewarm water and a suitable cleaning agent to remove residues of the previous product. Then rinse the bottle again with clean water and let it drain well. Before refilling, disinfect the inner surface and the thread using alcohol, for example with the products IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 %, and allow it to dry thoroughly at room temperature.

How can I safely recycle this plastic packaging if I no longer want to use it repeatedly?

If you decide not to use the bottle any further, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the material designation given in the product parameters. Before placing it in the sorted waste, empty the packaging, optionally rinse any product residues and, according to local rules, throw it into the appropriate container for plastics. The closure and the body of the packaging may have different material designations, so if necessary, it is advisable to disassemble them and sort them separately.

Can I use this bottle in contact with hot or very warm products?

For plastic packaging in general, we do not recommend exposing the material to high temperatures, as this may lead to unwanted deformation or a reduction in mechanical stability. The packaging is not suitable for boiling or for washing in a dishwasher with hot cycles. If you need to fill the product while hot, we recommend working at lower temperatures according to the type of plastic listed in the product parameters and first carrying out a test on a small trial sample.
