Vanillyl Butyl Ether is a synthetic warming sensory ingredient derived from a vanillin core (a component typical for the scent of vanilla), modified to be more stable in cosmetics and suitable for inducing a gentle, gradually developing warmth on the skin. In cosmetic formulations it is used mainly as a warming active ingredient for massage products, anti-cellulite care and comfortable warming textures; at the same time, it can also function as a fragrance/masking component with a sweet-warm character.

Safety and storage

The warming effect is a sensory property – at higher dosages it may be perceived as too intense; adjust the dosage gradually and always test the prototype.

Will Vanillyl Butyl Ether change the scent of the finished product?
