Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling we recommend thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the bottle and sprayer, ideally using suitable alcohol-based disinfectants such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after thorough drying is the bottle ready to be refilled.

The sprayer is particularly suitable for thin to medium-viscosity preparations that need to be applied as a fine mist or an even spray. These include, for example, facial and body lotions, hydrolats, hair sprays, aromatherapeutic mists or gentle cleaning solutions. For thicker emulsions or gels we recommend considering the use of pumps or other types of dispensers that are adapted to higher formulation viscosity.

Before filling a full batch, we recommend carrying out a trial filling with a smaller amount of product. Fill the bottle with sprayer with a sample of the formulation and leave it for a certain period under the conditions in which the product will actually be used and stored. Observe whether there are any changes on the surface of the plastic, softening, deformation, discolouration or leakage in the area of the thread and sprayer. Also test the spraying function itself – smoothness of operation, droplet size and evenness of application. For formulations with a higher content of alcohol or essential oils a thorough test is particularly important.

The bottle with sprayer is especially practical where fast and precise application is important without the need for contact with the skin by hand. In cosmetics it is ideal for refreshing facial sprays, hydrating mists, toners or hair lotions that are applied directly to the target area. For home and textile sprays it allows you to create a fine, even mist on bed linen, curtains, sports equipment or in the interior. Because it is a refillable package, you can easily change fragrances, active ingredient concentrations and the intended use according to current needs.

If you decide not to use the bottle any further, we recommend, after emptying and basic rinsing, placing it in sorted waste collection according to the type of plastic specified in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. Before placing it in the sorted waste, it is advisable to remove any product residues from the packaging and, where possible, separate the individual parts (bottle body, sprayer, any separate components). Correct sorting by material increases the efficiency of the recycling process and helps reduce the amount of waste ending up in mixed municipal waste.
