The packaging can be reused under appropriate use and if undamaged, but only with strict hygiene rules being observed. Before each refilling, the bottle and the spray dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. For disinfection, we recommend using technical alcohol, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based, and allowing the packaging to dry completely before refilling.

The bottle should first be thoroughly rinsed with a suitable cleaning solution to remove all residues of the original contents and then rinsed with clean water. We then recommend disinfecting the internal surface of the packaging and the parts of the spray dispenser with alcohol (e.g. IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based) and allowing it to dry naturally. You can rinse the spray head by “spraying through” clean water or disinfectant solution several times.

When exposed to high temperatures for a long time, the plastic packaging can change its shape or material properties and thus negatively affect the sealing or functionality of the spray dispenser. For this reason, it is not recommended to wash the bottle in a dishwasher or to boil it. For cleaning, use lukewarm water, a suitable cleaning agent and subsequent disinfection with alcohol, avoiding extremely hot water and direct contact with a heat source.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of plastic specified in the product parameters. After emptying, remove any remaining contents and, if necessary, rinse the bottle so that no residues of the preparation remain. Then sort the bottle and the spray dispenser into the appropriate plastic waste container according to local sorting rules. By sorting correctly, you support the material recovery of the packaging and reduce the amount of non-recycled waste.

This bottle with spray dispenser is particularly optimal for aqueous and water-alcohol solutions, hydrolats, light facial and body lotions or hair sprays that do not clog the nozzle. For more viscous or highly oily formulations, the spraying may be less even, so we recommend always carrying out a test before the final filling to check whether the resulting spray has the required fineness and consistency for comfortable application.
