For disinfection it is suitable to use alcoholic solutions such as IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After treatment with alcohol, allow the bottle and the spray pump to dry completely in order to avoid dilution of the final product.

The bottle can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be completely emptied, rinsed and thoroughly cleaned. We then recommend disinfection using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After disinfection it is necessary to allow the bottle and spray pump to dry completely so that further use is safe and the consistency and stability of the new fill are not changed.

The spray pump is ideal for low-viscosity, free-flowing formulations such as toners, hydrolats, aromatherapy sprays and light hair or body waters. With thicker emulsions or oil blends, spraying may be less uniform. In such a case we recommend first testing the behaviour of the product in a small trial batch, checking the uniformity of the dose and, if necessary, adjusting the composition (viscosity or proportion of the oil phase) so that the spray pattern is as fine and comfortable for the user as possible.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend first emptying it completely and removing any product residues. The glass body of the bottle is usually sorted into the container designated for glass, while the plastic part of the spray pump goes with plastics – however, always adapt the specific method of separation to the local waste-sorting rules. Before handing it over for collection, it is advisable to at least lightly rinse the packaging to reduce odour and residual contamination. More detailed recycling recommendations are based on the material composition specified in the product parameters and may vary according to local waste-sorting requirements.
