The double-wall plastic jar represents a professional solution for packaging creamy, gel-based and thicker cosmetic formulations where an aesthetic appearance, protection of the contents and pleasant user comfort are important. Thanks to its double-wall construction, the jar acts as an elegant cosmetic container that supports the premium perception of your product and at the same time helps protect more sensitive components from external influences. The packaging is suitable for various types of creams, butters, balms or scrubs, as well as for smaller testers and travel sizes where precise application and secure closure are important.
Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dispensing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure the final product will remain stable and safe throughout its entire shelf life.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The jar is designed for a wide range of cosmetic products, including preparations with a natural composition. Before final implementation we always recommend testing the compatibility of the specific formulation with the packaging – especially in the case of a high content of essential oils, acids or active substances. A short-term stability test (monitoring changes in consistency, colour, odour and surface) will help you verify that the contents and the packaging remain in the desired quality throughout the entire storage period.
The packaging can be reused if proper hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the jar must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose, we recommend the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. Only after the disinfectant has completely dried is the jar ready for refilling, which minimises the risk of microbial contamination and extends the shelf life of your products.
We recommend storing filled jars in a dry, clean and shaded place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. More stable room conditions help maintain the consistency of creams and balms and at the same time protect the plastic material from unnecessary stress. When storing in the bathroom, it is advisable to protect the packaging from prolonged humidity and condensation, for example by placing it in closed cabinets or organisers. It is always important to close the jar carefully to minimise the product’s contact with air and impurities.
When filling the jar, we recommend working with clean tools – use disinfected spatulas, small funnels or dispensing devices and avoid manual contact of your fingers with the interior of the container. Before filling, it is advisable to disinfect the work surface and tools with an alcohol solution and allow them to dry completely. Ideally, the product should be filled at room temperature and without unnecessarily incorporating air into the mass, in order to minimise the risk of introducing microorganisms and to extend the shelf life of the cosmetic product in the jar.
To make it easier to choose packaging, you can use the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the advanced filter you can conveniently select packaging according to several parameters – for example by type of neck, desired size, colour or material. This allows you to quickly find suitable bottles, jars, vials or other containers that meet the technical and aesthetic requirements of your product.
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the type of plastic indicated in the parameter table for the product. It is advisable first to empty the packaging of any cosmetic residues and clean it mechanically. Then follow your local waste-sorting rules – usually, a clean plastic package belongs in the container designated for plastics. If the jar is composed of several parts (for example inner insert, lid), it is ideal to disassemble the individual components and recycle them separately according to their material composition, thereby supporting more efficient waste processing.
