HDPE plastic jar 1000 ml represents a universal, reliable and practical packaging material suitable for both professional and home production. Thanks to the durable HDPE plastic, this container is ideal for packing various cosmetic blends, loose and pasty products, technical preparations or home formulations, where protection of the contents and convenient use are important. The construction of the jar is designed to allow easy filling, labelling and storage on shelves or in logistics packaging, while the solid plastic walls and dimensionally stable design support safe handling.
The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are stated in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Is the HDPE plastic jar suitable for repeated use?
The jar can be used repeatedly, as long as you follow basic hygiene principles and the packaging is not visibly damaged. Before each new filling, the jar must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol intended for this purpose, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. In this way you reduce the risk of microbial contamination and extend the shelf life of the packaged product.
How can I correctly recycle the HDPE plastic jar if I do not want to use it repeatedly?
If you decide not to reuse the jar, we recommend emptying it, possibly rinsing out any product residues depending on the nature of the product, and then placing it into separate collection according to the material designation given in the product parameters. HDPE packaging is usually sorted into the container designated for plastics. For combined packaging with closures, it is advisable to separate the individual parts, if possible, in order to facilitate recycling. Always follow the local waste sorting rules in your municipality or city.
For which types of cosmetic products is this jar most suitable?
The HDPE plastic jar is particularly suitable for thicker and pasty products such as body butters, creams, scrubs, cleaning pastes, hair masks, or loose products such as clays, bath salts or powder blends. Thanks to the wide opening, the jar can be conveniently filled even by hand, makes scooping out the product easier and is practical also for home production and testing of your own formulations.
How should I store products in the HDPE jar so that they retain the best possible quality?
We recommend storing products in the HDPE jar in a dry, clean and well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. A more stable room temperature without significant fluctuations helps protect the composition of the packaged product and at the same time supports the dimensional stability of the packaging. Always close the jar tightly to reduce contact with moisture, dust and atmospheric oxygen, which can affect the consistency or shelf life of the product.
You offer many types of packaging – how can I find the right one for my product?
The easiest way is to use the extended filter in the packaging material category. After clicking on the relevant category, a panel appears at the top of the page where you can filter the packaging according to several parameters – for example by neck type, size, colour or material. By combining these criteria, you can quickly narrow down the selection to the packaging that best corresponds to the specific product and method of use, whether it is cosmetics, technical preparations or other blends.
How should I proceed when testing the compatibility of my formulation with the HDPE jar?
Before the final filling, we recommend preparing a smaller trial batch and placing it into one jar that you will monitor for several days to weeks. Pay particular attention to any changes in the product’s consistency, colour and odour, any warping, softening or discolouration of the container walls, as well as the functionality of the closure. Store the jar under conditions similar to real use. If both the packaging and the contents remain stable, there is a high likelihood that the combination of the formulation and the HDPE material is suitable in the long term.
