Yes, the plastic jar is constructed to handle the packaging of thicker creams, butters, balms and gels. The wide mouth makes it easier to scoop the product comfortably and also allows good emptying of the contents. For very dense or waxy recipes we recommend making a trial filling and testing the comfort of use as well as storage.

The jar can be used repeatedly if hygienic principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected to minimise the risk of microbial contamination. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based product, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, available in the Handymade range: IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After disinfection, let the packaging dry completely and only then fill it with a new product.

First, mechanically remove the residue of the original product, then wash the jar with lukewarm water and a suitable cleaning agent and rinse thoroughly. After washing, the packaging must be disinfected with alcohol, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or Etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After disinfection, let all parts of the jar dry completely on a clean surface. Packaging prepared in this way is suitable for further filling, provided that the hygiene standards of your production are observed.

If you decide not to re-use the jar, we recommend recycling it according to the type of plastic indicated in the parameter table next to the product on Handymade. Before handing it over for separate collection, remove any remaining contents, rinse the packaging and sort it into the appropriate container according to the material labelling. By correct recycling you contribute to reducing waste and to a more efficient use of raw materials. For combined packaging (e.g. inserts, decorative elements) it is advisable, where possible, to separate the individual parts and sort them separately according to the material.
