The glass bottle is a professional packaging solution suitable for filling various liquid and fluid cosmetic preparations, medicinal solutions, or concentrated blends. Thanks to the stability of glass, the container is suitable for products that require long-term storage, purity, and reliable protection against external influences. Dark glass also provides natural protection from light, which is ideal for light-sensitive formulations such as oils, extracts, or serums.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps, or practical applicators), depending on the selected parameters. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing, and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
To select a suitable bottle or pharmaceutical vial, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the selected packaging category. In the advanced filter you can combine several criteria at once – for example, neck type, size, colour, and material. This way you can easily find packaging that matches the required dosing, design, and product type.
Yes, the glass packaging can be reused if proper hygiene standards are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. To disinfect packaging, you can use the products IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/ target="_blank") or ethanol 96% denatured (plant-based) (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/ target="_blank"). Only after it is completely dry is the packaging ready for refilling.
The glass bottle is popular for packaging concentrated serums, facial and body oils, oil macerates, aromatherapeutic blends, and various extracts. Thanks to the stability of glass and protection from light, it is also often used by makers of herbal tinctures, special treatment solutions, or test laboratory samples within small-scale artisan production or DIY projects.
Before starting production, we recommend preparing a test sample – filling several bottles with the final or test formulation and using them under real conditions. Monitor especially the sealing of the closure, the smoothness of dosing, any discolouration or cloudiness of the contents, and the behaviour of the material during longer-term contact with the product. Such a short stability test will help you verify whether the specific combination of packaging, closure, and formula is fully functional.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the material information stated in the product parameters. Glass containers are usually placed, after emptying and basic cleaning, into the container designated for glass, according to local waste-sorting rules. Closures made from other materials (for example plastic or metal) should be sorted separately according to their marking. In this way, you support efficient recycling and reduce the amount of waste.
