Glass bottle with screw thread and safety cap represents a reliable container for liquid cosmetic formulations, pharmaceutical solutions and other professional applications where purity, stability and controlled dosing are important. The dark glass provides natural protection from light, which supports the long-term stability of sensitive components and helps to minimize the degradation of active substances. In combination with a safety closure, this bottle is suitable for products where secure closure and protection against unintended opening are required.
The standalone glass bottle is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems according to the selected product parameters – for example with screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).

Yes, the glass packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and aired out is the bottle ready for refilling.
Before both first and repeated use, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, then thoroughly rinsing with drinking water and allowing it to dry. For a more professional procedure, it is appropriate to apply disinfection with alcohol after mechanical cleaning (for example using products available on Handymade) and allow the packaging to dry completely. This minimizes the risk of microbial contamination of the contents and improves the stability of your formulas.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend recycling it according to the material types listed in the product parameters. The glass body of the bottle, after emptying and basic rinsing, is normally disposed of in a container intended for glass. The closure is made of another material (usually plastic with an inserted seal), so separate it from the bottle and dispose of it according to the recommendations for the given type of plastic or as mixed waste if recycling is not possible. Always remove product residues before recycling to facilitate material processing.
Dark glass with a safety cap is particularly suitable for formulations that are sensitive to light and oxidation – for example facial serums with antioxidants, active solutions, aromatherapeutic blends and concentrated cosmetic raw materials. The packaging is practical for products used in smaller doses, where good closure and limited air access during storage and handling are important.
