The glass bottle with safety cap represents a professional and reliable packaging, ideal for filling liquid formulations where dosing accuracy and protection of the contents are important. High-quality glass is a stable, chemically resistant material which, when used correctly, helps to minimise interaction between the contents and the packaging, making it suitable for cosmetic solutions, serums, tinctures and specialised laboratory preparations. The safety cap with locking mechanism supports controlled use of the bottle and helps protect the contents against unintended opening.
The individual glass bottle is compatible with various types of caps and dispensing systems according to the selected product parameters. It can be combined with screw caps, droppers, sprayers or practical applicators, which allow the bottle to be adapted to the specific mode of use. The packaging and cap combinations that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing accuracy and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, in order to ensure long-term stability and comfort in use.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the glass packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow the bottle to dry completely so that it is ready for a new filling.
Before first use, we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing it thoroughly with water and then disinfecting it with an alcohol solution. For disinfection, it is suitable to use for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After treatment with alcohol, allow the glass medicine bottle to air dry in a clean, dust-free place to minimise the risk of contamination.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the information given in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle is usually placed in the container designated for glass, while the plastic cap is usually placed in separate plastic collection, unless otherwise stated in the parameters. Before recycling, it is advisable to remove any remaining contents and any labels and to empty the packaging as much as possible so that recycling is efficient and in accordance with local waste-sorting rules.
The glass bottle is primarily suitable for liquid and low-viscosity products such as aqueous solutions, liquid serums, tinctures or drop preparations. For oil-based and slightly thicker formulations, the packaging can also be used, but it is important to select a compatible type of cap or dispensing component (for example a dropper or applicator) in order to ensure smooth dosing and proper sealing. We recommend carrying out a trial filling and testing the behaviour of the specific formulation in the packaging.
To make it easier to select suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the advanced filter, several criteria can be combined at the same time – for example, type and size of neck, overall size of the packaging, colour and material. In this way, you can quickly narrow down the range to packaging that meets your technical and aesthetic requirements and is at the same time compatible with the selected caps or dispensers.
