ACTIVATED CARBON AND ITS USE

If you have been following our website for the last few days, you will not have missed the topic of moisturizing your skin with moisturizers and confusers. moisturisers, which are a great choice not only for acute skin dehydration conditions, but for everyday care.
You can, of course, support this with other products. If your skin suffers from flaking and clogged pores, especially in winter, it's a good idea to prepare your skin for the application of moisturisers.

How can you further improve the condition of your skin?

Activated charcoal, for example ;-)

What is activated charcoal?

It is charcoal that has undergone a heating process and this treatment makes it safe for medical use (our activated charcoal is pharmaceutical grade). Although in the past activated charcoal was only used internally for indigestion, today studies have shown its beneficial effects on the skin as well.
Its main characteristic is its adsorption capacity, which allows it to penetrate porous surfaces and trap a multitude of toxins and chemicals

So how can activated charcoal improve the condition of your skin?

???? HELPS REMOVE IMPURITIES
Activated charcoal can do this precisely because of the adsorption ability we mentioned above. Translated into human language, this means that the surface of activated carbon is filled with millions of tiny pores that have a negative electrical chargeand this attracts and binds positively charged toxins (the same principle is the basis of the internal detoxification process of the human digestive tract). Thus, activated charcoal can pull out impurities on the surface of our skin (these are mainly impurities from make-up, pollutants from the environment, etc.) and by regular use you also prevent their accumulation.

???? GENTLY EXFOLIATES
The texture of activated charcoal is slightly rough, which also makes it suitable for gently removing dirt and flakes in the form of a gentle exfoliator. This process is essential for removing all deposits that result in cloggedclogging pores, which can also aggravate blemishes and result in uneven, dull-looking skin.
Activated charcoal provides us with an excellent combination of exfoliation and cleansing in one. Moreover, thanks to its gentle texture, it is also suitable for sensitive skin types.

???? BALANCES OILY SKIN
It is oily skin or the use of oil-based products that results in impurities, whether from the make-up or the surrounding area, to bind to this oil-based ingredient. Activated charcoal can also draw out these oily molecules and prevent further clogging of the pores.

How to use activated charcoal in practice?

The easiest form to apply is powder, which you simply mix into masks.
When handling activated charcoal, please note that although you can wash the charcoal off your body with plain water, it can stain your clothes or wooden surfaces, which don't come off as easily.
Otherwise, anyone can handle the creation of a mask.

???? For example, such a Detox Mask:
Mix in equal proportions (say ½ tablespoon each) activated charcoal powder, bentonite clay, rose flower water and add a little honey. Apply to face, leave on for 10 minutes and wash off.

???? Or Exfoliating Blend:
Mix ½ tablespoon of activated charcoal powder and rose flower water, add 2 teaspoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of honey. Apply to face and use gentle circular motions over face to remove impurities. Rinse, pat dry and moisturize.

How simple and effective, right? ;-)
