Glass bottle – matte pharmaceutical bottle with matte black dropper represents a professional packaging for liquid preparations where precise dosing and protection of sensitive components are important. The opaque matte glass helps protect the contents from light, thereby supporting the stability of the composition and reducing the risk of degradation of active substances. In combination with the dropper, this packaging is ideal for filling serums, oils, concentrates and formulations that require controlled use in small amounts.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray heads or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the particular formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The opaque matte glass helps limit light penetration to the contents, which is beneficial for products that contain light-sensitive components such as vegetable oils, certain extracts or perfume compositions. Nevertheless, we always recommend following the storage recommendations for the particular recipe (for example storage in a dry, dark place) and, for new formulations, performing your own stability test.
The bottle is suitable for repeated use if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol (for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured vegetable). This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in the properties of the new product batch.
We recommend first mechanically cleaning the dropper of product residues, then rinsing it with a suitable solvent (for example alcohol) and allowing it to dry completely. It is important to avoid the use of aggressive cleaning agents or high temperatures that could damage the rubber or plastic part of the dropper and change its elasticity or sealing. After thorough drying, it is advisable to perform a short functionality test – check tightness, smooth suction and dosing accuracy.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend emptying it before disposal and, according to the information in the product parameter table, assigning it to the appropriate recycling stream. The glass body of the bottle is usually placed in a container designated for glass, while the closure and dropper must be sorted according to the material used (plastic or a combination of materials). Before recycling, it is advisable to remove product residues and labels to the extent allowed by local waste sorting rules.
To select suitable packaging, you can use the advanced filter located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, jars or dispensers). In the advanced filter, packaging can be clearly filtered according to several parameters – specifically according to neck type, size, colour and material. In this way you can easily narrow down the offer to packaging that meets the requirements of your formulation as well as the visual style of your brand.
Before the first filling, we recommend performing a small trial filling to verify the behaviour of the product in contact with the packaging – in particular the sealing of the dropper, the smoothness of dosing and the stability of the product during short-term storage. At the same time, it is advisable to clean and disinfect the bottles and droppers before use, ideally using alcohol (for example IPA or ethanol), in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and ensure consistent quality of the entire batch.
