The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly rinsing the bottle and the spray pump, cleaning them mechanically and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol solution, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination and dilution of the formulation by residual water.

When filling, we recommend using a funnel or a suitable measuring beaker to avoid contaminating the neck and the thread. Do not fill the bottle completely to the top – leave a small air gap that makes it easier for the liquid to be drawn into the spray mechanism. After screwing on the spray pump, check that the thread is firmly tightened and, before first use, press the pump several times to prime the system.

If you decide not to reuse the bottle, it is advisable first to use up the contents completely or dispose of them in accordance with the nature of the formulation used. The glass part of the packaging can then, after basic rinsing, be placed in the appropriate glass container according to local recycling rules. The spray pump, which is a combination of several materials, is normally classified as mixed or plastic waste in line with the guidelines in your municipality. It is recommended to separate the glass from the plastic and metal parts so that recycling is as efficient as possible, while the specific recommended sorting method follows from the types of materials stated in the product parameters.

The glass bottle is suitable for most common cosmetic and technical solutions, but for very sensitive or highly reactive substances it is always necessary to verify the compatibility of the specific formulation both with the glass and with the type of spray pump used. We recommend carrying out a trial filling in a small quantity and monitoring the stability of the product, any changes in colour, odour or viscosity, as well as the functionality of dispensing after a certain storage period.
