Glass bottle – medicine bottle with glossy dropper represents a professional and aesthetic packaging for precise dosing of various liquid mixtures. Blue glass is ideal wherever it is necessary to protect sensitive contents from external influences and at the same time maintain formulation stability during storage. In combination with the white glossy dropper, it creates an elegant, functional and hygienic container suitable for cosmetic as well as laboratory formulations where controlled drop-by-drop dosing is important.
The combination of bottle and dropper is designed to ensure functional and reliable dosing in everyday use. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), especially for products with a higher proportion of acids, alcohol or essential oils.
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. There you will find detailed information necessary for a professional assessment of the suitability of the packaging for a specific formulation and method of use.
The glass medicine bottle is generally a stable packaging suitable for most oil-based and alcohol-based formulations. However, for higher concentrations of essential oils, acids or alcohol, we always recommend testing the specific formulation in a small trial batch and monitoring the behaviour of the contents over time (change of colour, odour, viscosity or possible damage to the dropper or sealing). You can also use the material data in the product parameters and in the attached packaging quality certificate as an indicative guide to suitability for use.
The packaging can be reused if basic hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dropper must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and subsequently disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution. For disinfection, we recommend using, for example, isopropyl alcohol or ethanol with a quality grade intended for technical disinfection, which you can find in the Handymade range: IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol (/ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/){target="_blank"} and ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based (/etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/){target="_blank"}. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature and only then refill the packaging.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend emptying it as much as possible and removing residual product. Dispose of the glass part of the bottle in the container designated for glass according to local recycling regulations. The dropper usually consists of several materials (plastic, rubber, glass), so it is advisable to separate the individual parts where possible and sort them in accordance with your municipality’s instructions. Adapt the exact method of recycling to the information on material composition given in the parameter table for the product on Handymade.sk and to the waste sorting rules in your region.
For thicker serums and oil blends, it is important to take the viscosity of the product into account so that the dropper can provide smooth dosing. It is recommended to fill the bottle slowly, without creating bubbles, and not to overfill it up to the top – leaving a small space in the neck makes it easier to fit the dropper and improves sealing. For new formulations, first test dilution, consistency and dripping speed on a small trial sample so that you can be sure that application will be comfortable and safe for the end user.
