The packaging can be used repeatedly if proper hygienic principles are observed, especially in home production or when refilling cosmetics. However, before each new filling it is necessary to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bottle, including the dispensing mechanism. For disinfection we recommend using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Packaging prepared in this way is more suitable for safe refilling with a new batch of product.

The dispenser must first be mechanically rinsed with a suitable cleaning solution that is compatible with the materials used and the original product (for example a mild non-aggressive detergent). We then recommend rinsing with clean water and finally disinfecting with an alcohol-based preparation such as isopropyl or ethanol. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry thoroughly at room temperature. Before reuse, it is advisable to perform trial presses of the dispenser with a clean liquid to verify full passability and smooth dosing.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to local waste management rules. Before recycling, it is advisable to remove any remaining contents from the packaging and, if necessary, separate the glass container from the plastic parts in accordance with the recommendations given with the product on the Handymade website, so that the recycling process is as effective as possible.

The medicine bottle with cream dispenser is most suitable for emulsions and creams with medium to higher viscosity that need to be applied in a small, precisely dosed amount. These are mainly face creams, local caring preparations, caring emulsions for sensitive areas of the skin or premium products with a higher proportion of active substances. For very thick balms or, conversely, thin liquids, it is always advisable to carry out a trial filling to verify the smooth functioning of the dispenser and to adapt the formulation or the selected type of packaging accordingly.
