The glass bottle with black aluminum cap represents a universal packaging solution suitable for filling cosmetic products, serums, oils and other liquid or lightly viscous formulations. The transparent glass allows a natural presentation of the contents and easy visual control of their quantity and appearance. In combination with a precisely fitting closure, it creates a reliable and aesthetic container for both artisanal and professional products.
This type of glass medicine bottle is popular for packing smaller volumes of products for which purity, material stability and good protection of the contents against external influences are crucial. The smooth surface of the glass is also suitable for subsequent labelling or marking, thanks to which the bottle can be easily adapted to the visual identity of your brand.
The glass bottle itself is compatible with various types of closures and dispensing options (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected at purchase. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – verifying sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, especially for products with a higher content of alcohol, essential oils or acids.

Yes, the glass bottle is generally suitable for formulations containing essential oils and alcohol, because glass is a chemically stable and inert material. Nevertheless, we always recommend carrying out a trial filling and a short-term stress test with your specific formulation to verify the compatibility of the packaging, the tightness of the closure and the stability of the product’s fragrance or colour during storage.
The container can be reused provided that hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is essential to thoroughly clean the bottle and cap mechanically, rinse them, and then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the alcohol has completely dried and evaporated is the packaging ready for safe refilling.
First, remove residues of the original product mechanically (rinsing with warm water, possibly with a mild detergent suitable for laboratory or cosmetic equipment). Then rinse the container thoroughly with clean water, allow it to drain and dry. Before refilling, it is necessary to disinfect the inner surface of the bottle and the inner parts of the closure with alcohol, for example using the product IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, and only refill the bottle after the disinfectant has completely evaporated.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules and the information given in the parameter table for the product on the Handymade website. After emptying and rinsing, place the glass bottle in the appropriate glass container. The metal aluminum cap should be sorted as metal waste, ideally separately from the glass. In this way you support efficient recycling of the individual materials and reduce the amount of mixed waste.
