Glass bottle with black ribbed safety cap is a universal container intended for professional and artisan packaging of liquid products. The combination of transparent, slightly milky glass and a safety closure enables convenient dispensing, visual control of the contents and reliable sealing suitable for cosmetic formulations as well as laboratory or craft blends.
This type of bottle is ideal for various kinds of liquids and lightly viscous preparations, because the rigid glass ensures the stability of the packaging, chemical resistance and good protection of the contents when stored correctly. The safety cap with lock also minimizes the risk of unintentional opening and supports the professional appearance of the entire packaging.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected directly on the product page. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are given in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The bottle is ideal mainly for liquid and lightly viscous products, such as water-based solutions, serums or oil blends. For thicker creams and gels we recommend choosing a jar or a container with a pump instead, so that dispensing is comfortable and consistent. If you are not sure about suitability, it is recommended to first fill a smaller test quantity and try out the way of dispensing.
The glass bottle can be used repeatedly if strict hygiene rules are observed. Before each new filling, the container must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol. For this purpose, you can use products available on Handymade: IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol and Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the packaging has completely dried is the bottle ready for new filling, ideally with the same or a similar type of formulation, in order to minimize the risk of mutual influence of product residues.
First remove the residues of the original product by rinsing with warm water and an appropriate cleaning agent. Then rinse the bottle thoroughly with clean water so that no residues of the cleaning agent remain. After washing, the packaging needs to be disinfected – it is recommended to rinse the inner surface with alcohol (e.g. IPA 99 or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based) and let it dry completely at room temperature. For repeated use, it is recommended to have separately labelled bottles for individual types of formulations to avoid product mix-ups.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, it is advisable to recycle it according to the material composition specified in the product parameters. The glass part of the packaging must be freed from product residues, possibly rinsed, and then sorted into the container intended for glass according to local waste collection rules. The cap, which is usually made of plastic, is sorted separately according to the type of plastic stated in the description or the marking on the packaging (e.g. PP, HDPE). It is recommended to separate the bottle and the cap so that they can be correctly processed in the recycling process.
On the Handymade website you can use the advanced filter, which is located at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. Using the filter, you can easily choose the combination of parameters you need – for example the type and diameter of the neck, the size of the container, the colour of the material and the specific material (glass, plastic, etc.). Thanks to this, you can quickly search for bottles, pharmaceutical bottles, jars or other packaging materials that will best match the character of your product and the intended way of dispensing.
