Product description

Glass bottle with pump dispenser, frosted, 15 ml

This is a complete packaging and closure set: a glass bottle with a capacity of 15 ml in a frosted milky finish and a plastic pump dispenser in a glossy white-gold design. The dispenser delivers a small, consistent amount of product with each press, making it suitable for products applied in small quantities that should remain protected from finger contact. Most commonly used for facial and eye serums, lightweight facial oils, liquid emulsions and concentrates with active ingredients, where precise dosing matters more than speed of application.

Frosted glass transmits only diffused light, which provides mild protection against direct light while giving the product a clean, delicate appearance. The smaller volume is well suited for samples, travel packaging, testing a new formula, or products that are used up quickly and should not sit open for months. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics; it is not approved for food contact, so it is intended exclusively for cosmetic products.

What makes this set practical

  • Hygienic dispensing – the contents are not scooped with fingers or poured out; the pump delivers a dose directly onto the palm or skin, reducing product contamination.
  • Consistent amount with every press – one dose is approximately 0.14 ml, so customers can be given an exact number of pumps and the product is not wasted.
  • Protection from light – frosted glass reduces direct light exposure, which is beneficial for serums and oils with sensitive ingredients where a fully clear container is not ideal.
  • Odour- and interaction-free glass – glass does not absorb fragrances or colorants and does not react with the contents, making it suitable for formulas with essential oils and active ingredients.
  • Finished product appearance – the white-gold dispenser combined with frosted glass looks cohesive and requires no additional decorative element beyond a label.

Which products is it suitable for

The dispenser works best with contents of liquid to medium-viscosity consistency. It is particularly suited for:

  • water-based and gel serums with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide or peptides, applied in just a few drops,
  • facial and eye oils and lightweight oil blends that should remain protected from air and light,
  • liquid emulsions and fluids of lighter consistency that the dispenser tube draws up easily,
  • concentrates and boosters with active ingredients intended to be mixed into a cream or applied under a cream,
  • travel and sample sizes of finished products normally sold in larger volumes.

The dispenser is not suitable for thick creams, masks or butters. The pump cannot draw up thick contents or will become blocked over time; for such products we recommend a jar or a bottle with a different type of closure.

Nominal and total volume

The bottle specifies a nominal volume, meaning the amount of contents the packaging is designed to hold under normal filling, and a total brim volume, meaning the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is an intentional allowance for the dispenser tube and for expansion of the contents when temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, the contents will be pushed out through the neck when the dispenser is screwed on and part of the product will be wasted.

Before first use, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Before fitting the dispenser, press it several times empty to remove any dust from the tube, and do not disassemble it afterwards.

What is good to know when working with the dispenser

After fitting the dispenser, the pump needs to be pressed several times until the tube fills and the product starts to dispense. With very thin formulas, such as water-based tonics without a thickener, the dispenser may release the contents in a stream rather than a measured dose; for such products a spray nozzle is more appropriate. If the tube extends beyond the bottom of the bottle after fitting, we recommend carefully trimming it so it ends just above the base. The tube will then draw up the last remaining product and the pump will not become blocked.

The dispenser contains plastic parts and an aluminium cap. For formulas with a high proportion of essential oils, alcohol or solvents we recommend testing the dispenser's behaviour with the specific formulation before batch filling – checking the seal, appearance and pump function after several weeks. The glass bottle withstands such contents without issue.

The bottle is glass, so do not fill it with hot contents and do not expose it to sudden temperature changes. Allow emulsions and serums to cool to room temperature before filling. Glass can be reused after thorough washing and disinfection; we recommend replacing the dispenser when changing the product, as residues of the previous product in the tube and mechanism cannot be cleaned out thoroughly.

Glass goes into the glass recycling stream; the dispenser is a composite product of plastic and metal and is sorted separately from the bottle. Label dimensions are listed in the product parameters; light-coloured labels with delicate graphics also stand out well on frosted glass.

The set is not approved for food contact. Neither the bottle nor the dispenser holds a food approval, so it is intended exclusively for cosmetic products.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 15 ml glass bottle with pump dispenser suitable for facial serum?
Yes, the set is designed precisely for serums, oils and lightweight fluids. The dispenser delivers approximately 0.14 ml per press, which corresponds to a typical facial serum dose of one to two pumps. The contents do not come into contact with fingers or air to the same extent as with an open jar, which is an advantage for products with active ingredients.
Does frosted glass protect the contents from light?
Partially. Frosted glass scatters direct light, so it protects the contents better than clear glass, but not as thoroughly as amber or dark blue glass. For products with highly sensitive ingredients, such as vitamin C in its acid form or retinol, we recommend storing the bottle away from direct sunlight or choosing dark glass.
Can the bottle with dispenser be used for thick cream?
No, this dispenser is not suitable for thick creams. The pump is designed for liquid to medium-viscosity contents; a thick cream will either not be drawn up or the mechanism will become blocked after a few uses. For creams and butters we recommend a jar or a bottle with a different closure type, or a ready-made set designed for thicker textures.
How many ml can be filled into the 15 ml bottle?
The bottle is filled to the nominal volume of 15 ml. The total brim volume is larger, but the difference is an allowance for the dispenser tube and for expansion of the contents when temperature changes. If the bottle is filled all the way to the neck, part of the contents will be pushed out when the dispenser is screwed on and the product will be wasted.
Is the dispenser resistant to essential oils and alcohol?
The glass bottle handles such contents without issue; for the dispenser we recommend testing. The dispenser contains plastic parts that may change in appearance or seal integrity over time with a high proportion of essential oils, alcohol or solvents. Before batch filling it is advisable to leave one filled piece to stand for several weeks and check the pump function.
Can the glass bottle with dispenser be reused?
The bottle yes, the dispenser only to a limited extent. After thorough washing, alcohol disinfection and drying, the glass bottle can be refilled without concern. The dispenser has an internal mechanism and tube that cannot be cleaned out thoroughly, so when changing the product or after extended use we recommend fitting a new one. Closures with the same neck type and ready-made combinations are available in the Handymade range.
