Product description

This is a ready-made bottle and closure set: a transparent glass bottle with a nominal volume of 50 ml and a plastic dispenser in a glossy white-and-gold finish. A bottle with a dispenser is ideal wherever the contents need to be dispensed in small amounts without opening and without the fingers touching the product – typically with facial serums, oils, light emulsions and concentrates. The clear glass lets the contents show through, which you will appreciate with products that have a nice colour or with serums where clarity is part of the product's impression. The glossy white-and-gold dispenser gives the bottle the look of a finished cosmetic product, which is why the set is also suitable for gift packaging and small batches intended for sale.

As a whole, the set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. Certification for direct contact with food applies separately to the glass bottle; the dispenser does not have such certification, which is why the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics.

Why reach for this set

  • Hygienic dispensing – the contents are dispensed in small doses, and the product is not opened or contaminated during use. This is an advantage especially with serums and active concentrates, which deserve the least possible contact with air and hands.
  • A precise dose with a single press – the dispenser delivers a small, repeatable dose, so the product is applied without waste. The volume of a single dose is given in the specifications.
  • Glass as an inert material – it does not react with oils, essential oils or alcohol-based preparations, releases no substances into the contents and does not absorb fragrances. It is therefore also suitable for formulations that would stress plastic packaging.
  • Transparency – both the customer and the manufacturer can see the amount of product remaining and its condition. Clear glass, however, does not protect the contents from light, which should be taken into account when choosing the formulation.
  • A ready-made combination – there is no need to search for and verify a separate closure. The dispenser has the same type of neck as the bottle, and the set is used as a whole.

What the set is suitable for

The dispenser works reliably with contents of low to medium viscosity. Realistic uses:

  • facial serums on a water or oil base, gel serums of a lighter consistency,
  • facial and body oils, blends of carrier oils with essential oils,
  • light emulsions and facial lotions, moisturising and protective facial preparations,
  • liquid concentrates and active preparations in small packaging, where a precise dose matters,
  • small batches and samples intended for sale or as gifts, where the packaging should look like a finished product.

The set is not suitable for thick creams, ointments, balms, butters and dense gels – the dispenser will not draw up such contents or will dispense them unevenly. Jars or bottles with a different type of closure are more suitable for these.

Nominal and total volume

Two volumes are distinguished for each bottle. The nominal volume is the volume for which the packaging is intended under normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is somewhat larger. The difference between them is the reserve into which the dispenser tube is inserted, and space for the contents to expand with changes in temperature. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, the contents leak out of the neck once the dispenser is fitted. You will find the values of both volumes in the specifications.

What is good to know when filling and using

Before the first filling we recommend you wash and disinfect the bottle with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. The dispenser only needs to be rinsed with clean water, or an alcohol solution, and left to dry. Do not soak it for long periods, as it contains both metal and plastic parts.

After fitting the dispenser, check that the tube reaches the bottom of the bottle. If it is longer than needed, shorten it with an angled cut – the dispenser will then draw up the remaining contents at the bottom too, and the product is used up completely.

On first use the dispenser needs to be pressed several times without result until the tube and mechanism fill with the contents. With thicker serums and oils, filling takes somewhat longer than with watery contents.

Clear glass lets light through, so the set is best suited to formulations that are unaffected by light, or to products stored in the dark (a drawer, a box, a cabinet). For oils rich in unsaturated fatty acids, for preparations with vitamin C or with essential oils sensitive to light, consider an amber or blue glass bottle, or pack the product in secondary packaging.

The dispenser is not certified for contact with food. Do not therefore use the set for homemade oils, syrups or other food products. Only the bottle itself is certified for contact with food.

Once empty, the bottle can be reused – simply wash and disinfect it the same way as before the first filling. When filling, avoid sudden changes in temperature (a hot formulation into a cold bottle), which can damage the glass. When sorting waste, the glass bottle belongs with glass; the dispenser made of plastic and aluminium is separated from the bottle and sorted separately according to local rules.

Frequently asked questions

Does the transparent glass bottle with a dispenser protect the contents from light?
No, clear glass lets light through and does not protect the contents from it. The set is therefore suitable for formulations that are stable in light or for products stored in the dark or in secondary packaging. For light-sensitive ingredients, such as some plant oils, vitamin C or citrus essential oils, amber or blue glass is the safer choice.
What consistencies is the dispenser on the 50 ml glass bottle suitable for?
The dispenser is suitable for liquid and slightly thick contents – serums, oils, facial lotions and light emulsions. A thick cream, balm, butter or dense gel will not be drawn up, or will be dispensed unevenly, and the mechanism may jam. For borderline consistencies we recommend testing how the dispenser behaves with the specific formulation before filling the entire batch.
How much product actually fits into the 50 ml glass bottle?
The bottle is filled to the nominal volume of 50 ml, not to the brim. The total volume to the brim is somewhat larger, but this reserve is taken up by the dispenser tube and also serves for the contents to expand with changes in temperature. If the bottle is overfilled, the contents leak out of the neck once the dispenser is fitted. The precise volume values are given in the specifications.
Is the glass bottle with a dispenser suitable for food as well?
The set as a whole is not intended for contact with food. Certification for direct contact with food applies separately to the glass bottle; the dispenser does not have such certification, which is why the entire combination is declared only for cosmetic use. For homemade oils or syrups we recommend choosing a bottle with a closure that has documented food suitability.
How is the glass bottle with a dispenser cleaned, and can it be reused?
Yes, the set is intended for reuse. Wash the bottle with warm water and detergent, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and let it dry completely. Rinse the dispenser with clean water or an alcohol solution and let it dry. Long-term soaking is not suitable because of the metal parts. Before refilling, check that no residue of the previous product remains in the tube.
Why does the dispenser on the bottle not dispense anything on the first press?
This is normal – on first use the dispenser needs to be pressed several times until the tube and mechanism fill with the contents. With oils and thicker serums, filling takes somewhat longer than with watery products. If the dispenser does not draw up even after several presses, check that the tube reaches the bottom of the bottle and that the dispenser is properly tightened on the neck.
