Glass bottle, frosted, white fine mist sprayer, 30 ml

A ready-made combination of a 30 ml glass bottle and a white plastic fine mist sprayer for liquid cosmetic products applied as a fine mist. The frosted matte glass remains partly see-through, so you can see how much content is left in the bottle. The small volume suits products that are used up quickly and carried around: facial mists, toners, hydrolates, refreshing hair sprays or samples of your own formulations.

The sprayer is supplied with a screw-thread closure and a dip tube. Both the bottle and the sprayer are declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The set is not approved for contact with food.

What it is suitable for

The sprayer is intended for thin water-based and water-alcohol liquids. The thicker the content, the less well the nozzle disperses it, so the set is not suitable for oils, serums with a thickener or emulsions. It is particularly useful for:

• Facial mists and toners – water-based solutions with active ingredients, applied without your hands touching the skin.
• Hydrolates – on their own or as the base of a refreshing spray.
• Hair sprays – thin solutions for smoothing or refreshing.
• Samples and travel sizes – 30 ml is enough for testing a formulation or for packing samples for customers.

One press releases approximately 0.13 ml of content. With this figure you can estimate how many applications the bottle will last, as well as how much active ingredient is delivered per use.

Nominal and brimful volume

The nominal volume of 30 ml is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference is a reserve for the sprayer’s dip tube and for the closure to seat correctly. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the content overflows when the sprayer is screwed on.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Treat the sprayer in the same way. Spray a few doses of pure ethanol through the tube and then air, so that no liquid is left in it.

Glass withstands repeated washing and disinfection, so you can use the bottle several times. The sprayer has an internal mechanism that is harder to clean, so its reuse is limited.

Water-based products in a sprayer require a preservative system; the packaging itself does not solve microbial stability. Frosted glass is not opaque, so store products containing light-sensitive ingredients in the dark.

For water-alcohol products such as perfume sprays, check the tightness of the sprayer and the behaviour of the plastic parts with your specific formulation. With a higher proportion of essential oils or solubiliser, test whether the nozzle starts to stick when left standing.

At the end of its life, the glass bottle belongs in glass recycling and the polypropylene sprayer in plastics; the two parts are sorted separately.
