Product description

The transparent plastic bottle with a white-gold pump dispenser 200 ml is a complete bottle and closure set for cosmetics dispensed by pressing – body lotions, liquid soaps, shampoos or shower gels. One press releases approximately 1 ml of content, so both the customer and the manufacturer know how much product is being used, and the contents do not come into contact with hands the way they would with an open jar.

The bottle is made of PET, it is lightweight and will not shatter on impact the way glass does, making it suitable for the bathroom, shower and travel. The transparent wall shows the colour and texture of the product as well as how much remains. The white-gold dispenser set visually matches light or gold labels without any additional decoration.

Key benefits

  • Hygienic dispensing – the contents are only released when pressed, are not scooped out with fingers or poured, which reduces the risk of contamination of both leave-on and rinse-off products.
  • Measured dose – approximately 1 ml per press makes it easier to monitor consumption and estimate how many uses a full bottle provides.
  • Lightweight and durable material – PET does not shatter on impact and keeps the packaging light, which is an advantage both for shipping and for everyday use in wet environments.
  • Dip tube reaches the bottom – the dip tube is long enough for the dispenser to draw the contents from the very bottom of the bottle.
  • Declared suitability for cosmetics – both the bottle and the dispenser are suitable for contact with cosmetic products based on technical documentation.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for during normal filling, and this is the figure stated on the label. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is always slightly larger. The difference provides a margin for the dip tube and dispenser mechanism and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle is filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling would cause the contents to leak from the neck when the dispenser is screwed on, and the mechanism might not seal properly. Exact values for both volumes can be found in the product specifications.

Using the set

The dispenser is designed for liquid to medium-viscosity products: body and facial lotions, light creams and emulsions, liquid soaps, shampoos, shower gels, hair conditioners, micellar waters or liquid cleansers. Very thick creams, butters and products with solid particles (coarse-grain scrubs) dispense poorly or clog the mechanism. Jars or pots are more suitable for these. The dispenser can handle very thin water-based solutions, but may drip during use – a spray bottle is more practical for tonics and hydrolats.

After screwing on the dispenser, press the pump several times without product until the dip tube and mechanism are filled. Only then will it dispense evenly. With thicker emulsions, expect the first few doses to be smaller.

Oil products (body, massage or hair oils) can be dispensed, but the viscosity of the oil affects the dose size and whether a drop remains at the nozzle after pressing. Test the behaviour of the specific formulation on a sample before filling a larger batch.

What's worth knowing

Preparation before first fill. Rinse the bottle with lukewarm water, optionally with a mild cleaning agent, sanitise with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely upside down. Rinse the dispenser the same way and pump it several times to clear any water from the mechanism. Residual moisture would dilute anhydrous products and unnecessarily burden the preservative system of water-based formulations.

Temperature and material. PET is not intended for hot filling. Allow emulsions and gels to cool to room temperature before filling, otherwise the bottle may deform or the neck may change shape, impairing the seal of the closure. For the same reason, do not leave the set in direct sunlight or near a heat source.

Transparency and light. The clear wall provides no light protection for the contents. For light-sensitive products – oils with a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, formulations with vitamin C, retinoids or a higher proportion of essential oils – a dark container is more suitable, or store them away from direct light.

Concentrated essential oils, a higher proportion of alcohol and certain solvents may cloud or soften PET on prolonged contact. For formulations with a high proportion of these ingredients, verify compatibility on a sample and monitor both the bottle and the dispenser over several weeks.

Reuse. Both the bottle and the dispenser can be used multiple times if they are cleaned and sanitised between fills in the same way as before first use. When changing products, pump clean water and then alcohol through the mechanism to prevent residues of the old and new contents from mixing. If the pump starts sticking after extended use, the contents have dried inside and the mechanism needs to be worked loose with warm water.

Labelling. Apply the label to a dry and degreased bottle, ideally before filling.

Other closures. Other closures with the same neck type from the Handymade range can also be used on the bottle. When using a custom combination, verify the seal, dispensing and the behaviour of the packaging with the specific formulation.

Recycling. The PET bottle goes into sorted plastic waste collection. The dispenser contains both plastic and aluminium – unscrew it from the bottle before disposal.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 200 ml plastic bottle with dispenser suitable for thick creams?
No, the dispenser is designed for liquid to medium-viscosity products. Body lotions, light emulsions, liquid soaps, shampoos and gels dispense reliably; thick creams and butters are difficult to push through and may clog the mechanism. For thick textures, choose a jar or pot, or thin the formulation to a lotion consistency.
Does the transparent PET bottle protect the contents from light?
No, the transparent bottle does not protect the contents from light. It is suitable for products that are not light-sensitive, or for products stored in the bathroom away from direct sunlight. Formulations with vitamin C, retinoids, a higher proportion of essential oils or unsaturated oils are better filled into brown or blue glass or opaque plastic.
How much product fits in the bottle with dispenser – 200 ml or up to the brim?
The bottle is filled to the nominal volume of 200 ml, not to the brim. The total volume up to the neck is larger, but the difference serves as a margin for the dip tube, the dispenser mechanism and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Overfilling causes the contents to leak when the dispenser is screwed on, and the closure may not seal properly.
Is the plastic bottle with dispenser suitable for food products?
No, the set is not declared for contact with food. Neither the bottle nor the dispenser has food-contact approval; the set is intended for cosmetic products, for which both components are suitable based on technical documentation. For home oils, syrups or herbal extracts, choose packaging with confirmed food-contact suitability.
How to prepare the bottle and dispenser before first filling, and can they be reused?
Before first filling, wash both the bottle and the dispenser with lukewarm water, sanitise with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. The set can be reused if it is cleaned the same way between fills and clean water followed by alcohol is pumped through the pump. When changing products, thorough cleaning of the mechanism is necessary to prevent residues from mixing.
