Product description

The white plastic bottle with a white-gold pump dispenser, 150 ml, is a complete bottle and dispenser set for liquid and semi-liquid cosmetic preparations dispensed by pressing. The white PET bottle is lightweight, unbreakable and opaque, so the contents are not exposed to direct light and neither the colour nor any sediment is visible from the outside. The white-gold dispenser allows hygienic dispensing of the product without the fingers contacting the contents.

The set is particularly suitable for body lotions, light facial and body emulsions, liquid soaps, shower gels, shampoos, conditioners and cleansing gels. The 150 ml capacity is practical for daily-use bathroom products, travel, and as a sample or gift size.

Why choose a bottle with a dispenser

  • Hygienic dispensing – the product is dispensed by pressing; the remaining contents stay sealed and are not touched by the hand or exposed to air to the same extent as with a jar. This is beneficial for water-based emulsions and gels where cleanliness of the contents matters.
  • Light protection – the white opaque plastic filters light, which benefits preparations containing vegetable oils, vitamins or coloured extracts that change colour and scent more quickly when exposed to light.
  • Lightweight and durable packaging – PET does not break if dropped in the shower or during transport, making it suitable for the bathroom, handbag and shipping to customers.
  • Controlled dosage – each press releases approximately the same amount, roughly 1 ml, so the customer does not use more than needed and can more easily estimate consumption.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is designed for under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck and is always greater. The difference provides space for the dip tube and the dispenser mechanism and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle is filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

Filling and working with the dispenser

Before the first fill, we recommend washing and disinfecting the bottle and dispenser with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allowing them to dry completely. After filling, the dispenser is screwed onto the bottle thread; before first use, press it several times until the dip tube fills and the product begins to flow.

The dispenser is designed for liquid to medium-viscosity preparations. It reliably dispenses thin lotions, gels, shampoos and liquid soaps; a thick cream or balm may not be drawn up by it. With emulsions, it is advisable to adjust the viscosity so that the product flows rather than needs to be spread.

If you are unsure whether the preparation will pass through the dispenser, fill one bottle as a test and verify that the dispenser draws up the product and does not leak when laid on its side. The same test will also show whether the viscosity of the product changes significantly after cooling and could make dispensing difficult.

Good to know

The bottle and dispenser are declared suitable for use with cosmetic products. The bottle alone holds food-contact certification; the complete set as a whole is intended for cosmetics.

PET tolerates water-based and emulsion preparations as well as typical concentrations of vegetable oils. For formulations with a high proportion of essential oils, fragrance compositions or solvents, we recommend testing the packaging behaviour with the specific formulation, as some components may soften or discolour the plastic over time. The bottle is not suitable for hot filling; allow the contents to cool before filling.

The white surface of the bottle is suitable for labelling. Both the bottle and the dispenser can be reused after thorough washing and drying.

Closures with the same neck type and other ready-made bottle-and-closure combinations are available in the Handymade range. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying seal integrity and dispensing performance with the specific preparation.

The dispenser should not be loaded or pressed during transport; otherwise, part of the contents may be forced into the closure or out of the bottle. When shipping finished products, we recommend securing the dispenser or transporting the bottle upright.

The PET bottle belongs in plastic waste. The dispenser is made up of plastic and aluminium parts; separate it from the bottle before disposal.

Frequently asked questions

Does the white plastic bottle protect the contents from light?
Yes, the white PET bottle is opaque and filters the light falling on the contents. It is not total light protection, but it is sufficient for common emulsions, shampoos and shower gels containing vegetable oils and extracts. For products with very sensitive active ingredients, we recommend storing them away from direct sunlight even in this packaging.
How thick a preparation can the dispenser on the 150 ml bottle draw up?
The dispenser reliably dispenses liquid and medium-viscosity preparations, such as body lotion, shampoo, shower gel or liquid soap. A thick cream, balm or butter will not pass through the dispenser or will come out irregularly. If you want to use the dispenser for an emulsion, adjust its viscosity so that it can be poured freely.
Is the bottle and dispenser set suitable for food contact?
No, the complete set is not approved for food contact. The food-contact certification applies to the white PET bottle alone; the dispenser is declared for cosmetics only. Use the set for cosmetic preparations.
How many doses does the 150 ml bottle with dispenser yield?
Approximately 150 presses, as each dose is roughly 1 ml. The actual number depends on the viscosity of the preparation and how far the dispenser is pressed. Thin preparations deliver a full dose; thicker ones deliver slightly less.
How is the bottle with dispenser cleaned and can it be reused?
Yes, both the bottle and the dispenser can be reused. Wash the bottle with warm water and a mild detergent, disinfect with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry. Rinse the dispenser by pressing it several times in clean water and then in a disinfectant solution, so that the dip tube and mechanism are also cleaned. Repeat this procedure when changing the preparation.
Why is the PET bottle not filled to the brim?
Because above the nominal volume there must be free space for the dip tube and the dispenser mechanism. If filled to the brim, screwing on the dispenser forces the contents out through the neck and the bottle may leak. The free space also compensates for expansion of the contents at higher temperatures, for example in the bathroom or during summer transport.
