Wooden Wick Booster crackling is a special component intended for the production of design-oriented scented and decorative candles, where, in addition to stable burning, it also brings the characteristic effect of gentle crackling reminiscent of a fireplace. Thanks to the precise processing of the wood and the suitable construction, it is suitable for various types of waxes and candle containers, from smaller glass bottles and jars to more massive decorative containers. Carefully selected material and wick shape support even burning and comfortable fragrance release, which is essential when producing high-quality candles for both personal and professional use.
Selecting the container diameter is crucial for even burning of the candle. It is recommended to carry out several test pours in different bottles, apothecary bottles or jars with different diameters, while observing the width of the melted wax pool after several hours of burning. The container should allow the wax to melt approximately over the entire surface without excessive smoking or overheating of the container walls. Whenever the wax type or fragrance changes, the setting must be tested again.
The Wooden Wick Booster crackling can be used directly, without further surface treatment, but it is recommended during the first tests to verify whether the ignition speed and burning intensity suit you. Fix the wick firmly in the center of the container using a suitable holder so that it remains in the axis during wax pouring. Pour the wax at the recommended temperature for the specific type of wax and let the candle cure thoroughly before lighting it for the first time. Before each subsequent burning, it is advisable to check the wick height and, if necessary, trim it slightly.
Yes, glass bottles, apothecary bottles, jars and other containers used for candles can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. After the candle has burned out, remove the wax residues, clean the inner surface and before a new pour we recommend thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the packaging. For disinfection it is suitable to use, for example, isopropyl alcohol or denatured vegetable ethanol. Only after cleaning and drying the container insert a new wooden wick again and pour in the wax. This minimizes the risk of undesirable reactions between residual contamination and the new candle blend.
If you decide not to reuse the container after the candle has burned out, we recommend recycling it according to the material indicated in the parameters of the specific packaging on the site. Glass bottles, apothecary bottles and jars, after removing wax residues and metal parts, are normally sorted into the glass container, plastic packaging according to the type of plastic into the appropriate container. Always follow the pictogram and material designation in the product parameter table on Handymade.sk and the local rules for sorted waste collection. The wooden wick itself can, after burning out and cooling down, be placed in mixed waste, unless otherwise specified locally.
The simplest way to choose a suitable bottle, apothecary bottle, jar or pot is to use the advanced filter in the packaging category. After clicking on the relevant category you will find the advanced filter at the top of the page, where you can specifically filter packaging according to neck type, size, colour and material. Thanks to this you can quickly select packaging suitable for a specific type of candle, the planned container diameter and the visual style of your collection. When changing the wax type or design, we recommend always testing new combinations first on a smaller series.
