Glass bottle with dropper represents a professional packaging suitable for precise dosing of liquid preparations in cosmetics as well as in home production. Thanks to high-quality glass and the integrated pipette, the packaging is ideal for products where controlled dripping, hygienic withdrawal of the contents and minimisation of contact with air are important. The darker glass also helps protect more sensitive components from external influences during storage.
This bottle is supplied together with a dropper, and the combination of packaging and closure is assembled on Handymade so as to be functional and proven in practice. Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
When choosing a suitable bottle, jar or medicine bottle, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the advanced filter you can clearly narrow down the results according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour or packaging material, thanks to which you will quickly find packaging corresponding to your formulation and product design.
The bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene rules are observed, especially in home production or when refilling the same type of product. However, before each new filling it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99 isopropyl alkohol (ALK001) available at /ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/ or etanol 96 % denaturovany rastlinny (ALK002) at /etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/. Only after the packaging has completely dried is it suitable to proceed to refilling.
The glass part of the packaging should first be thoroughly rinsed with warm water and a mild cleaning agent and then rinsed several times with clean water to remove all detergent residues. After washing it is important to let the bottle and dropper dry completely and only then disinfect them with a suitable alcohol-based product (for example the products on the pages /ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/ or /etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/). After the alcohol has evaporated, the packaging is ready for refilling.
The dropper bottle is intended mainly for low- to medium-viscosity liquids, such as oils, fluid serums, aqueous or hydroalcoholic solutions and concentrated active substances. With formulations that are too thick, dosing through the pipette may be limited, therefore in such cases it is recommended to test the behaviour of the blend in the packaging and, if necessary, choose another type of dosing, for example a pump or a bottle with a larger neck diameter.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, its recycling is recommended according to the recommended rules arising from the material composition in the product parameters. The glass part, once completely emptied, should be placed in a container intended for glass. The other components of the closure (for example the plastic or rubber part of the dropper) must be sorted according to the material type specified in the product parameters or, if sorting is not possible, disposed of in municipal waste. Before sorting it is advisable to remove product residues from the packaging so that the recycling stream is not contaminated.
For storage we recommend keeping the bottle in a dry and stable environment, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat, in order to minimise ageing of the contents. The closure with dropper should always be screwed on tightly, which limits the access of air and moisture to the container. If you work with very sensitive active substances, it is worth storing the product at a slightly lower but stable temperature and regularly visually checking the clarity, colour and odour of the contents so that you can detect any changes in stability in time.
