A ready-made set for small volumes that are dispensed drop by drop. The black glossy glass blocks light, so it suits essential oils and their blends, oil serums and other concentrated contents that lose their scent or colour in light. The long PP dropper insert and the white ribbed safety cap are matched to the bottle with an 18/410 neck finish, so there is nothing more to buy and no need to test what fits where.

The set as a whole is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. Only the glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct contact with food. The dropper insert and the cap do not have one, so the set is intended for cosmetic products.

What the set consists of

• Glass medicine bottle 15 ml – black glossy glass, medicine bottle shape with a narrow neck.
• Long plastic dropper insert – a clear PP dropper insert that is pressed into the neck after filling. The contents then come out drop by drop, and if the bottle is knocked over by accident, it does not empty all at once.
• White ribbed safety cap – a PE cap with an 18/410 neck finish. The ribbed surface makes it easier to open.

Filling and dispensing

The bottle is filled up to the nominal volume, that is, the volume the packaging is designed for in normal use. The brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck, and we state it in the parameters. The difference between the two is a reserve for the dropper insert, which takes up part of the space in the neck once fitted. If the bottle is filled to the brim, the contents will overflow when the dropper insert is pressed in.

Thicker oils drip more slowly, while thinner contents such as alcohol tinctures drip faster. We therefore recommend testing the dripping speed on the first piece.

What it is suitable for

A volume of 15 ml is used up within a few weeks, so the set is used mainly for concentrated products: essential oil blends for aroma lamps and diffusers, facial oil serums, hair and beard oils, cuticle oils, perfume oils and samples from larger packs.

The dropper insert is less suitable for aqueous toners and hydrosols, which are usually dispensed with a sprayer. A bottle with an 18/410 neck finish can also be combined with other closures. You will find closures with the same neck type and ready-made combinations in the Handymade range. If you make your own combination, we recommend checking the tightness and dispensing with your specific contents.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and leave it to dry completely. The dropper insert and the cap only need to be rinsed and dried.

The PP dropper insert and the PE cap are plastic parts. For pure essential oils, citrus oils and alcohol-based contents, we recommend testing how they behave with your specific formulation on a trial piece.

After use, the dropper insert and the cap can be separated from the bottle. Glass goes into glass recycling and plastic parts into plastic recycling.
