The glass bottle is a professional packaging material suitable for the precise and safe dispensing of various liquid formulations. In combination with a high-quality screw cap with a safety feature, it creates a reliable closure system that protects the contents against unintended opening and leakage. The dark glass also helps to minimise the effect of light on more sensitive components, which is particularly important for products containing active ingredients and aromatic oils.
Thanks to the stable glass and functional closure, this bottle is ideal for products where cleanliness, precise application and long-term stability of the composition are important. It is particularly suitable for smaller volumes of specialised preparations, where it is necessary to effectively protect the contents from external influences while maintaining the professional appearance of the finished product.
The combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass bottle is generally suitable for formulations containing essential oils, since glass is materially stable towards them. However, it is always recommended to carry out your own compatibility test of the specific blend – to verify the behaviour of the product after filling, during prolonged storage and handling, including the tightness of the closure and any changes in fragrance or colour.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed, but always only for one type of product or a group of similar formulations, in order to minimise the risk of cross-contamination. Before each new filling, the bottle and cap must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, and it is important to follow the recommended working procedures and allow the packaging to dry completely after treatment.
Before first use we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning solution, rinsing it with drinking water and then disinfecting it with alcohol as needed. After treatment, leave the packaging to drain and dry at room temperature in a clean environment in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination. When working with disinfectants, always follow the manufacturer’s safety recommendations and ensure that no residues of the cleaning agent remain inside the packaging that could affect the composition of the final product.
If you decide not to use the packaging further, it is recommended to recycle it in accordance with local waste sorting regulations. The glass body of the bottle is usually placed in the container designated for glass sorting, and it is advisable to empty it of any residual contents beforehand. The closure must be sorted according to the material specified in the product parameters – most often into the container for plastics or handed over within mixed waste collection if required by local regulations. Before recycling, the packaging does not require sterilisation; mechanical emptying and basic cleaning of product residues are sufficient.
To select suitable packaging, you can use the extended filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the filter you can clearly set parameters such as neck type, packaging size, colour of glass or plastic and the material from which the packaging is made. By combining these criteria, you can quickly narrow down the offer to packaging that best matches your product and the method of application, whether it is drop preparations, sprays or classic liquid formulations.
