Product description

A clear glass bottle 30 ml with a white-and-gold dropper is a ready-made bottle-and-closure set: the two parts are paired, the closure fits the neck precisely and seals, all you need to do is fill it.

The set is intended for liquid leave-on products dispensed in drops: facial serums, facial and hair oils, oil blends with essential oils, tinctures, or oil serums for nails and cuticles. The clear glass reveals the colour and purity of the contents, which is an advantage with oils and serums whose appearance is part of the product's impression. The white cap with a gold detail gives the bottle a refined look without any further decoration.

Why choose this set

  • Precise dosing – the dropper takes only the amount needed and the rest of the product stays in the bottle without unnecessary contact with air and fingers. With concentrated serums and oils this is more economical than pouring from the bottle.
  • Glass does not affect the contents – both the glass bottle and the glass tube of the dropper are inert, they do not react with oils, alcohol, or active ingredients and do not take on odour.
  • Clear glass shows the product – suitable for golden oils, coloured extracts, or serums whose appearance you want to show the customer. With light-sensitive contents, protection from light must be taken into account (see below).
  • A volume suited to both a treatment course and a sample – 30 ml corresponds to a standard pack of facial serum or oil for several weeks of use.
  • Verified for cosmetics – both the bottle and the dropper are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products; the declaration of conformity is available with the product.

How the set works

The dropper consists of a white cap with an aluminium ring in a gold shade, a flexible silicone bulb, and a glass tube that reaches almost to the bottom of the bottle. Squeezing the bulb draws the product into the tube and it is then dispensed drop by drop. The cap screws onto the thread of the neck and closes the bottle against leaking during normal handling.

The dropper is built for liquid to slightly viscous contents. Light and medium-weight oils, oil serums, water- and glycerine-based serums, or alcohol tinctures are dispensed with it without any problem. Thick gels, emulsions, and creams either will not be drawn into the tube or will not flow out of it. For such textures a pump or a jar is more suitable.

If you are filling a serum with higher viscosity (for example a gel with a higher proportion of thickener), test the dosing on a single bottle before you fill the whole series. The difference between "draws up slowly" and "does not draw up at all" usually comes down to the thickness of the formulation.

Nominal and total volume

The bottle states the nominal volume, that is the amount the container is intended for under normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is somewhat larger. The difference is a reserve for the dropper tube, which pushes part of the contents upward when closed, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. It is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, screwing in the dropper would push the product out through the neck. You will find the specific values of both volumes in the product parameters.

What is good to know when filling

  • Clear glass does not protect against light. Oils prone to oxidation (linseed, hemp, rosehip, cranberry), vitamin C, retinoids, and many plant extracts lose stability in light. Store such products in the dark or in a cardboard box, or choose a brown or blue bottle for them. For stable oils and serums without light-sensitive ingredients, the clear bottle is without reservation.
  • Prepare the container before the first fill. Wash the bottle, rinse it, and let it dry completely. Before filling with cosmetics we recommend disinfecting it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Draw up and expel the disinfecting solution with the dropper and let it dry. Residual water in the tube would dilute an anhydrous product and could trigger microbial growth in it.
  • Concentrated essential oils and solvents. Glass withstands them, but the silicone bulb and the plastic parts of the cap are, with prolonged contact with undiluted essential oils, pure D-limonene, or similar solvents, more prone to softening or a change in properties. With highly concentrated contents, verify the seal and the behaviour of the bulb in advance on a single piece.
  • Glass and heat. Pour the product in lukewarm, not hot. A sudden change in temperature is not good for glass, and hot contents can also damage the seal in the dropper.
  • Reuse. The glass bottle can be used again after thorough washing and disinfection. On the dropper, check the bulb and the seal.
  • Recycling. The bottle belongs with glass. The dropper is a combined closure of plastic, silicone, aluminium, and glass; before disposal, separate the glass tube from the cap and the bulb.

The set is intended for cosmetic products. It is not approved for direct contact with food, so do not use it for food oils, syrups, or herbal infusions intended for consumption.

Suitable for products such as

  • Facial serums (water-based, glycerine-based, and oil-based) – drop dosing corresponds to the usual amount for a single application.
  • Facial and hair oils and oil blends with essential oils, where drawing up with a dropper is more convenient than pouring.
  • Oils for nails and cuticles – the dropper allows a drop to be applied precisely to a specific spot.
  • Tinctures and alcohol extracts in a smaller pack.
  • Samples and test batches of new formulations in a volume of 30 ml.

Closures with the same type of neck stated in the parameters and other ready-made bottle-plus-closure combinations can be found in the Handymade range. If you assemble your own combination, verify the tightness, dosing, and behaviour of the container with the specific formulation.

Frequently asked questions

Does a transparent 30 ml glass bottle protect the contents from light?
No, clear glass lets light through and does not protect the contents from it. It is therefore suited to stable oils and serums without light-sensitive ingredients, or to products that are stored in a box or in the dark. For oils prone to oxidation, vitamin C, or retinoids, a brown or blue bottle is more suitable.
How much does a 30 ml glass bottle with a dropper actually hold when filled?
It is filled to the nominal volume of 30 ml, not to the brim. The total volume to the neck is larger, but the difference serves as a reserve for the dropper tube, which pushes part of the contents upward once screwed in, and for the expansion of the product when the temperature changes. If overfilled, the contents would be pushed out through the neck when closing.
Can a thicker serum or gel also be dispensed with the dropper?
The dropper reliably dispenses liquid to slightly viscous products: oils, oil-based and water-based serums, tinctures. Thick gels, emulsions, and creams either will not be drawn into the glass tube or will not flow out of it. With serums of higher viscosity, verify the dosing on a single bottle before filling the whole series.
Is a glass bottle with a dropper suitable for essential oils?
For essential oils diluted in a carrier oil, yes; the glass of both the bottle and the tube withstands them without change. With undiluted essential oils or solvents, prolonged contact can affect the silicone bulb and the plastic parts of the cap. In that case, verify the seal and the behaviour of the bulb in advance on a single piece.
Can I use the glass bottle with a dropper repeatedly?
Yes, the glass bottle can be filled again after thorough washing and disinfection. On the dropper, check the condition of the silicone bulb and the seal. If they have changed colour, hardened, or become sticky, replace the dropper. When switching the type of product (for example from an oil to a water-based serum), always clean the container completely and let it dry.
