Product description

Glass dropper bottle, clear, pipette with lock, 15 ml is a ready-made set of a small glass bottle and a black dropper with a lock, designed for precise drop-by-drop dispensing of liquid cosmetic preparations. It is particularly suitable for facial serums, oil blends and active ingredient concentrates, where small amounts are dispensed and it is important that the contents do not spill or come into contact with fingers. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products and is intended for cosmetic use.

Clear glass reveals the colour and clarity of the contents, which you will appreciate with serums, oils or coloured extracts where appearance is part of the product presentation. The dropper combines a glass tube in contact with the contents with a silicone bulb and a plastic cap with a lock.

Why choose this set

  • Precise dispensing – the dropper picks up and releases the contents drop by drop, making it easy to apply the recommended amount of serum or concentrate per use.
  • Hygienic use – the contents are not scooped out with fingers or poured through the neck, which limits contamination during daily use.
  • Lock against accidental opening – the cap does not open on its own, which is an advantage with concentrated blends and preparations that should not be easily accessible.
  • Glass in contact with contents – both the bottle and the dropper tube are made of glass, which does not react with oils or alcohol-based solutions and does not absorb scent.
  • Transparency – the contents are visible, giving both customer and manufacturer control over the quantity and condition of the preparation.

How to use the set

The bottle is filled to the nominal volume, meaning the amount the container is designed for in standard filling. The total volume to the brim is greater, as it includes the space up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the glass dropper tube, which pushes some of the contents upward when closed, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. It should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

After filling, gently insert the dropper first and only then tighten the cap. If the contents overflow through the neck when closing, there was too much and the level should be reduced.

When dispensing, squeeze the bulb, insert the tube into the contents and release to draw up the liquid. Thicker serums and viscous oils are drawn up more slowly and the drops are larger, while thin tonics and alcohol-based solutions flow quickly. We recommend testing the dropper behaviour with your specific formulation in advance, especially with gel textures.

Suitable for products such as

  • Facial serums – both water-based and oil-based, where individual drops are dispensed.
  • Oil blends and elixirs – for the face, beard, nails and cuticles.
  • Active ingredient concentrates – added to a cream or mask where the amount must be precisely measured.
  • Diluted essential oil blends – in a carrier oil, for spot application.
  • Samples and test batches – the small volume is suitable for stability testing and initial customer feedback.

What is good to know

Clear glass does not protect the contents from light. Preparations sensitive to light, such as serums with vitamin C, retinoids or blends with a high proportion of unsaturated oils, should be stored in the dark or a dark packaging option should be considered.

Pure, undiluted essential oils and aggressive solvents may affect the silicone bulb and the plastic parts of the dropper over time. Glass withstands them without issue, but we recommend checking the dropper's behaviour over time with such contents.

Before first use, wash and disinfect both the bottle and the dropper and allow them to dry completely. The set is suitable for reuse; the same procedure is recommended for each new filling. With water-based preparations, bear in mind that the dropper comes into contact with air and skin with each use, so the formulation should be adequately preserved.

Caps with the same neck type as specified in the parameters, and other ready-made combinations, are available in the Handymade range. For your own combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing and packaging behaviour with your specific formulation. Glass belongs in glass recycling; the dropper should be separated from the bottle before recycling.

Frequently asked questions

Does the clear glass dropper bottle 15 ml protect the contents from light?
No, clear glass transmits light and the contents are fully exposed to it. For serums and oils sensitive to light, it is advisable to store the bottle in the dark or in a box, or to choose a dark glass option. For standard oil blends that are used up within weeks, clear glass is usually sufficient and allows the colour of the contents to be seen.
How much is actually filled into the 15 ml glass dropper bottle?
It is filled to the nominal volume, i.e. approximately 15 ml, not to the brim. The remaining space is a reserve for the glass dropper tube, which pushes the level upward when closed, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. If the bottle is filled to the neck, the contents will overflow when closing and contaminate the thread, which impairs the seal.
What is the lock on the dropper of the glass bottle for?
The lock makes accidental or unintentional opening of the cap more difficult. It is useful with concentrated serums, essential oil blends and wherever the contents should be less easily accessible. In everyday use, the dropper opens just as conveniently, but requires a deliberate action rather than simply unscrewing.
Is the glass dropper bottle suitable for oil serums as well as water-based tonics?
Yes, glass tolerates oil-based, water-based and alcohol-based contents. Oil serums dispense comfortably; with thicker oils the drops are larger and uptake is slower. Water-based preparations should be properly preserved, as the dropper comes into contact with air and skin each time it is used. Undiluted essential oils may affect the silicone bulb over time, so we recommend diluting them when using this set.
Can the glass dropper bottle be reused and how should it be cleaned?
Yes, the set is designed for reuse. Wash the bottle and glass tube with warm water and washing-up liquid, rinse thoroughly and disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Flush the bulb several times by drawing in clean water and then alcohol. Allow all parts to dry completely; residual water could dilute or spoil the new contents, especially with anhydrous oil blends.
