Gloss Black Glass Bottle, Matte White Dropper, 15 ml

The glossy black bottle with a white matte dropper is used for storing and dispensing small volumes drop by drop. The opaque black glass protects the contents from light, and the dropper lets you measure out exactly as much as you need. With a nominal volume of 15 ml, the set is suitable for facial and oil serums, essential oil blends and concentrated active ingredients, that is, for products applied by the drop whose sensitive components need to stay protected from light.

Both the bottle and the dropper have an 18/410 neck finish, are supplied together and are matched to each other. The dropper consists of a glass tube, a silicone bulb and a white matte PP thread. The white matte finish contrasts with the glossy black body of the bottle, which is useful for a consistent look across your own product line or for gift packaging.

What it is suitable for

• Facial serums and oils – dispensing by the drop allows you to apply a precise amount without wasting the concentrated contents.
• Essential oil blends and fragrance compositions – black glass protects the aromatic components from light, and the dropper makes it easier to measure into a diffuser or a formulation.

Volume and filling

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The brimful capacity is the physical volume up to the neck, and its value can be found in the parameters. The difference between them forms a reserve for the dropper, whose glass tube takes up part of the space once screwed in, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. For this reason, fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

Preparation and use

Before the first filling, wash the bottle with warm water, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Treat the dropper in the same way: rinse the glass tube, wipe the silicone bulb on the outside and let everything dry with no moisture left inside. Residual water could cause cloudiness in oil-based contents or encourage the growth of microorganisms.

To dispense, squeeze the bulb, immerse the tube in the contents and release the bulb. The length of the dropper matches the height of the bottle, so the tube reaches deep enough even when the level of the contents is low. When dispensing drops, hold the bottle above the point of application and squeeze the bulb slowly so that you can count the drops.

The set can be used repeatedly. Once the contents have been used up, simply wash, disinfect and dry both parts. If the type of contents changes, for example from essential oils to a facial serum, we recommend cleaning more thoroughly, because the scent can linger longer in the silicone bulb.

Good to know

Through the black glass, you cannot see the level of the contents. You can estimate the amount remaining in the bottle by how much the dropper draws up. It also helps to mark the batch with the filling date and keep track of consumption.

The glass withstands normal working temperatures, but not a sudden change, for example pouring hot contents into a cold bottle. Let the contents cool before filling. The silicone bulb and the plastic thread may change in flexibility or tightness over time with concentrated essential oils or solvents. For your own formulation, we therefore recommend checking the tightness and the behaviour of the dropper with the specific contents before you fill a larger batch.

After use, the bottle is sorted as glass. The dropper is made of several materials: separate the glass tube from the bulb and the plastic thread, and sort each part separately.
