The glass bottle with spray pump is a professional packaging suitable for filling various liquid preparations where precise and gentle application in the form of a spray is important. The dark glass helps protect more sensitive contents from external influences, and a properly selected spray pump ensures comfortable dosing for home and artisanal production of cosmetics or home-care products. Thanks to the sturdy glass container and high-quality spray mechanism, this bottle is suitable for liquid formulations that require even misting onto the skin, a surface or into the air.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the selected parameters for the specific product. Combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation), so that you can be sure the packaging works reliably with your particular product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are provided in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters. If you decide not to reuse the packaging after the contents have been used up, we recommend recycling it properly according to the instructions for the given material stated in the parameter table for the product. The glass part of the bottle should be placed in glass collection, and plastic parts (spray pump, any plastic components) should be sorted according to local plastic collection rules. Before disposal, it is advisable to empty the packaging of any product residues so that recycling is as efficient as possible.
The packaging can be reused provided that hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle (rinsing, suitable cleaning agent according to the type of residues) and then thoroughly rinsing it with clean water. After that, it is necessary to disinfect the container with a suitable alcohol solution, for example with the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow the bottle and the spray pump to dry completely and only then fill with a new product.
The spray pump is primarily intended for liquid, low-viscosity formulations such as aqueous solutions, hydrolats, toners or alcohol sprays. With thicker emulsions and oil blends, reduced spraying performance or nozzle clogging may occur. We therefore recommend testing each formulation on a small sample and checking whether dosing is even and without excessive resistance when pressing the mechanism.
For reliable sealing, it is important to tighten the spray pump evenly onto the bottle neck without overloading the thread. After filling the packaging, we recommend performing a leak test – close the bottle, turn it into several positions and shake gently. Watch for any product leakage around the thread or through the spray nozzle. For thicker or more aggressive formulations, it is advisable to repeat the test after several days of storage to ensure that the seal remains stable even during longer-term use.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend sorting its individual parts according to material. The glass container should be placed in a glass recycling bin, and it is advisable to remove larger product residues beforehand. The spray pump and plastic components should be sorted according to local rules for plastic waste, or another appropriate recycling stream. For specific recycling requirements, follow the information about the material given in the parameter table for the product and the local waste sorting rules.
The simplest solution is to use the advanced filter in the packaging categories. After clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, dropper bottles or jars), you will find the filter at the top of the page. Using it, you can clearly narrow down your selection according to parameters such as neck type, size, colour or material. In this way you will quickly find packaging that matches your formulation and the desired appearance of the final product.
