Product description
Glass bottle, green, throat spray, 30 ml
Throat spray in a small green glass vial is a complete set for liquid cosmetic preparations applied as a fine mist in a small dose to a precisely targeted area. After filling, simply screw on the dispenser and the product is ready to use – each press releases the same small measured dose. The set is suitable for example for cosmetic oral sprays with herbs or menthol, aromatic water-alcohol sprays, or preparations you want to apply precisely and without finger contact.
Green glass acts as a partial light filter, so light-sensitive contents will last in better condition than in a clear bottle. You can also still see how much preparation remains in the bottle.
Why glass and a long applicator
- Glass does not absorb fragrances or dyes – menthol, essential oils and plant extracts leave no traces in the bottle, and after thorough cleaning it can be used again.
- Green glass filters part of the light – it helps protect dyes, antioxidants and fragrance components that change more quickly in light.
- Long applicator – the curved tube of the dispenser delivers the mist to the back of the oral cavity or another harder-to-reach area without touching the skin or mucous membranes.
- Measured dose – the mechanical dispenser delivers approximately the same volume with each press, so the number of sprays can be recommended to customers and consumption stays under control.
- Durable dispenser plastic – polypropylene withstands both aqueous and alcohol-based solutions typical for oral sprays.
What the set is suitable for
The most natural use is cosmetic oral sprays for breath freshening: water-glycerin or mildly alcoholic solutions with menthol, mint, sage, clove or propolis tincture. The set is also suitable for herbal aromatic sprays and preparations you want to apply precisely, such as a refreshing hair fragrance at the roots or a product for treating a specific area of skin.
The dispenser is designed for water-thin liquids. It handles pure oils or thick solutions poorly – the mist turns into a stream and the nozzle can clog. For oil-based preparations, opt instead for a bottle with a dropper or a sprayer designed for oils.
Preparations with a higher proportion of glycerin, thickeners or insoluble particles (powders, pollen, herbal sediments) the dispenser cannot handle. Filter the solution before filling and verify that the mist remains even after several sprays.
Filling and volume reserve
The bottle has two volumes that are often confused. Nominal volume is the amount the container is designed for during normal filling and that is stated on the label. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is the reserve for the tube and valve of the dispenser, which take up some space when screwed in, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Therefore fill only to the nominal volume, not to the brim – otherwise when closing, the contents will be pushed out through the neck or will remain in the thread and contaminate it.
After filling and screwing in the dispenser, press it several times over the sink until the tube is primed and the first press produces a mist. This priming is a normal part of first use and is worth mentioning on the label.
Good to know
Before first filling, rinse the bottle with warm water, disinfect with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely with the neck facing down. Rinse the dispenser with the same alcohol – press it several times in a glass with the disinfectant, then with clean water, and let it dry. A dry interior is especially important for alcohol-based preparations, so residual water does not dilute the contents.
Repeated use poses no problem with glass. The dispenser will last more cycles if you flush clean water through it after each emptying and let it dry. If the nozzle becomes clogged with a dried extract, soaking in warm water and repeated pressing will help.
The label adheres well to the cylindrical body of the vial. For oral sprays, allow space for the ingredients list, dosage and warnings that a cosmetic oral preparation requires.
Glass and heat: avoid sudden thermal shocks, such as filling a hot solution into a cold bottle taken from the refrigerator. Attach the dispenser only after the contents have cooled down.
Suitability for cosmetics: both components of the set are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products; details can be found in the component parameters. The set is not intended for food use, so do not fill it with syrups, edible oils or other food products.
Closures and combinations: additional closures with the same neck type and ready-made combinations can be found in the Handymade range. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dosage and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation.
Recycling: the glass bottle goes in glass recycling, the dispenser after separation in plastics.
