The glass bottle with spray pump represents a professional packaging material suitable for filling various liquid formulations where precise and comfortable application in the form of a fine spray is important. High-quality glass in combination with a functional spray pump creates a reliable container for products that require hygienic, metered and economical application.
The dark glass helps to minimise the penetration of light to the contents, thereby contributing to longer stability of light-sensitive components and to the preservation of their properties during storage and use. This type of packaging is suitable for liquid products with low to medium viscosity that benefit from even spraying onto the skin, a surface or into the air.
Glass is generally a very stable and inert material, so it is a suitable choice also for formulations containing essential oils or fragrance components. For products with a higher concentration of essential oils, we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – fill a small amount of product, monitor the behaviour of the spray pump material, the seals and the functionality of the mechanism during use, in order to verify long-term stability and reliable operation of the entire packaging.
The bottle can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the packaging including the spray pump, rinse it and then disinfect it with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature. We recommend repeated use only for a similar type of product as was originally in the packaging, in order to minimise the risk of unwanted interactions or changes in scent.
Before first use, we recommend rinsing the glass part of the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, then thoroughly rinsing with potable water and allowing it to dry. Afterwards it is advisable to disinfect the inner walls and the neck with alcohol and allow them to air out completely. The spray pump should not be exposed to extreme temperatures or long-term soaking in aggressive cleaning agents; gentle hand cleaning, a short rinse and thorough drying at room temperature are recommended in order to maintain the functionality of the mechanism and the seals.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types listed in the product parameters. After emptying and basic rinsing, the glass bottle is usually placed in the container designated for glass. The plastic parts of the spray pump (overcap, pump, dip tube) are sorted according to the type of plastic specified in the technical product information, usually into the appropriate container for plastics. Before disposal, it is advisable to remove any remaining product as much as possible in order to facilitate subsequent processing in the recycling process.
