Can this plastic bottle with spray pump be used repeatedly?

The packaging can be used repeatedly if you follow basic hygiene principles and clean the bottle thoroughly between individual uses. Before each new filling, we recommend rinsing the inside of the container as well as the spray mechanism, allowing them to dry and then disinfecting them with a suitable agent, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. In this way you reduce the risk of microbial contamination and extend the usability of your formulations.

How should I care for the plastic packaging so that it is not damaged during cleaning?

When cleaning the packaging, use lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent that is compatible with the material used. Avoid using very hot water, aggressive chemicals and mechanical scrubbing, which could damage the surface of the bottle or the spray pump. PET material should not be exposed to high temperatures, so do not wash the bottle in a dishwasher and do not boil it, in order to prevent possible deformation of the packaging. After washing, let the packaging dry naturally and then disinfect it with the recommended alcohol-based product before the next filling.

The spray pump is ideal for low-viscosity liquids that are to be applied in the form of a fine spray or mist. It is suitable for facial waters, hydrolats, facial refreshers, hair tonics, textile and room sprays or light disinfectant solutions. With thicker emulsions or oil serums, atomization may be less even, so we recommend testing in advance how the specific formula behaves in combination with this type of dosing.

How can I safely dispose of or recycle this bottle if I do not want to continue using it?

If you decide not to re-use the packaging, we recommend placing it in sorted waste collection according to the material specified in the product parameters. Before handing it over for recycling, empty the bottle, rinse it if possible and separate plastic parts that can be sorted separately. PET material generally belongs in the container intended for plastics, while specific recommendations may follow the local waste sorting system.
