Yes, the HDPE bottle is suitable for liquid as well as thicker formulations such as gels, light emulsions, or concentrated cleaning products. The flip-top cap allows dosing of thicker contents as well – however, it is recommended to test before filling whether the flow rate and dosing are suitable for your specific formulation.

How should I prepare the bottle before first use or repeated filling?

The packaging can be reused provided that hygiene principles are followed. Before each filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and cap, rinsing them, and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol solution, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after the alcohol has dried and evaporated is the packaging ready for safe filling with a new product.

How do I correctly test the compatibility of my formulation with this plastic packaging?

Before final stocking of the product, we recommend preparing a test sample and leaving it for several weeks in the filled bottle under normal storage conditions. Monitor in particular any changes in colour, scent, viscosity, and any damage to the surface of the packaging or the closure seal.
