The plastic bottle with trigger sprayer is a practical packaging solution for home-made and professional formulations where even dispersion and convenient dosing are important. Thanks to the combination of a durable plastic body and a functional trigger mechanism, it is suitable for filling liquid preparations with low to medium viscosity, where a fine or targeted application to a surface or the skin is required. This type of packaging is popular for household care, cosmetics and artisanal production because it enables clean, controlled and economical dosing without the content coming into contact with the surrounding environment.
This product is a combination of bottle and trigger sprayer, created on Handymade as a functional unit proven in practice. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the enclosed Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly under normal use, if you follow basic hygiene principles and continuously check the condition of the bottle and the trigger mechanism. Before each new filling, the bottle and sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent (for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based). It is recommended to reuse the packaging for a similar type of formulation (e.g. a cleaning agent after a cleaning agent) in order to minimise the risk of an undesirable reaction between residues of the original contents and the new product.
After emptying the bottle, it is advisable to disassemble the packaging to the extent allowed by its construction (unscrew the trigger sprayer from the neck and check the tube and nozzle). Rinse the bottle with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry completely. You can then spray a disinfectant solution inside the packaging and through the sprayer (e.g. based on isopropyl alcohol or ethanol), and it is advisable to pump part of the solution through the trigger mechanism so that the internal liquid path is cleaned. Before filling with a new product, make sure that no residues of the original preparation or disinfectant remain in the packaging.
The trigger sprayer is most suitable for low-viscosity to moderately thick liquids that do not contain larger undissolved particles. In practice, this includes, for example, surface cleaners, glass solutions, air and textile fresheners, certain cosmetic or body sprays, plant-care preparations and similar formulations. With thicker emulsions or liquids with a higher proportion of solid particles, there may be a decrease in spray quality or clogging of the nozzle. Before introducing it into routine use, we always recommend making a trial batch and verifying whether the spraying meets your requirements.
If you decide not to use the bottle with trigger sprayer any further, we recommend first emptying it as much as possible and rinsing it so that no residues of the original product remain. The subsequent method of recycling depends on the material designation, which you will find in the parameters of the specific product on the website – according to this, you will assign the packaging to the appropriate type of plastic. In most cases, clean plastic packaging belongs in the container for separated plastic, and it is advisable to separate the bottle and the trigger mechanism if they are made of different materials. If you are not sure about local rules, follow the recommendations of your local collection yard or municipal services so that recycling is as effective as possible.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging categories. After clicking on the relevant category (for example bottles, jars or sprayers), you will find the filter at the top of the page. In it you can conveniently combine several criteria – type and size of neck, volume, colour, material used and other properties. In this way you can quickly narrow the offer down to packaging that corresponds to your formulation and intended dosing method, and you will more easily find the bottle or jar that will be most suitable for your product.
