Yes, the glass packaging can be reused, provided that hygiene principles are observed, and included in your long-term production or home cosmetic routine. However, before each new filling it is essential to thoroughly clean and disinfect both the bottle and the dropper in order to minimise the risk of microbial contamination or residues of the previous product. For disinfection we recommend using a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, in accordance with your internal hygiene procedures and the type of formulation being filled.

Before re-use, first mechanically remove any product residues from the inside of the bottle and the dropper, for example by rinsing with a suitable solvent compatible with the original formulation. Then wash the packaging in warm water with a mild cleaning agent, rinse well and allow it to dry completely. After thorough drying, we recommend disinfecting the inner surface with an alcohol solution (for example using products available on Handymade), while it is important to allow the alcohol to evaporate before refilling. If you decide not to reuse the bottle with dropper, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste management rules and the information in the product parameters. The glass part of the packaging can usually be placed in a container intended for glass after you have removed any remaining contents. The dropper with plastic and rubber components should be separated from the glass and placed in the appropriate fraction of mixed or sorted waste according to the local system.
