Use in formulation

• Soluble in oils and other lipophilic ingredients.
• Miscible with vegetable oils, butters, waxes, esters and oil-based perfume compositions.
• Compatible with anhydrous balms, oil serums and emulsion systems after incorporation into the oil phase.
• In emulsions it is usually incorporated into the oil phase or into the final phase at a lower temperature, where the formulation allows.
• It is recommended to add it during cooling (at a temperature below 40 °C).
• In perfume and flavouring applications it is used at lower dosage so as not to mask the other components of the composition.
• When creating the final formula, it is advisable to also monitor the content of substances that may be subject to restrictions under cosmetic legislation, especially in perfume products.

• Character of the extract: contains fixed oil and aromatic compounds, for example ketones, aldehydes and pyrazines
• Drug-to-extract ratio: 7.0 – 8.0 kg of hazelnuts per 1 kg of extract

Safety and storage

• Store in a well-closed container, in a dry, cool place, protected from light.
• Avoid unnecessarily prolonged heating and contact with air in order to preserve the odour profile of the extract.
• When used in perfume or strongly aromatic products, we recommend performing a test in the final formula.
• When formulating, also monitor naturally occurring substances that are restricted under current cosmetic legislation.
