The dispenser can be used repeatedly in normal cosmetic use, provided you observe basic hygiene principles. Before each new filling we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and the dispenser and disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol from the product IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or plant ethanol from the product Ethanol 96 % denatured plant. This will reduce the risk of microbial contamination and extend the safety of use of your product.

The dispenser is most suitable for liquid and low-viscosity preparations, such as facial toners, body and hair emulsions, mild cleansing gels and light oil blends. For very thick creams or gels, dosing may be limited, so for new formulations we always recommend making a trial filling in order to verify the smoothness and consistency of dosing.

After emptying the bottle you can dismantle the dispenser to the extent allowed by its construction, rinse it with a suitable cleaning agent and then rinse with drinking water. Before the next use we recommend disinfection with alcohol – for example using the preparations IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant. After disinfection let all parts dry completely at room temperature so that no water remains in the system, which could dilute or affect the new formulation.

We recommend verifying compatibility by a trial filling of a small amount of product into the selected bottle with dispenser. Over the course of several days observe whether there are any changes in the colour, odour or structure of the packaging and whether the dispenser doses smoothly and without leakage. For formulations with a higher content of oils, alcohols or active substances, it is appropriate to extend the test and also monitor longer-term behaviour – for example after several weeks of storage at room temperature.

If you decide not to reuse the dispenser and the corresponding bottle, we recommend emptying them before disposal and removing any product residues. Adapt the method of recycling and sorting to the material specified in the parameter table for the specific product on the Handymade.sk website. According to the type of plastic or other material, subsequently place the packaging in the appropriate separated waste stream in accordance with local recycling rules. In this way you will reduce environmental burden and ensure proper processing of the used packaging material.
