Product description
Transparent round plastic bottle with a white-silver pump dispenser, 150 ml, is a ready-made set for dispensing liquid and mildly viscous cosmetic products – body lotions, liquid soaps, shampoos, shower gels and cleansing gels. The transparent PET bottle is lightweight, shatter-resistant and the contents are visible inside, so it is immediately clear how much product remains. The pump with a 24/410 thread fits directly onto the bottle neck and releases a small measured dose with a single press, without unscrewing and without finger contact with the contents.
A volume of 150 ml is a size suitable for a bathroom shelf, next to the sink, in customer gift sets and for travel. The set solves both packaging and closure at once, so there is no need to search for and test which pump fits the bottle.
What the set offers
- Dispensing without opening – contents are dispensed by pressing the head, the bottle remains closed and neither fingers nor shower water come into contact with the product. This is a more hygienic method of dispensing than scooping from a jar.
- Measured amount – each press releases approximately 1 ml, which makes it easier to state a recommended dose on the label and to monitor consumption.
- Transparent bottle – reveals the colour, consistency and fill level. Suitable for products where appearance is part of the presentation, for example coloured shower gels or clear cleansing gels.
- Lightweight and durable material – PET does not shatter when dropped in a bathroom, reduces parcel weight and withstands standard handling during filling and transport.
- Neutral white-and-silver appearance – the white head with a silver aluminium detail lets the label stand out and can be matched with a variety of packaging styles.
Suitable for products such as
- Body lotions and light emulsions – liquid to mildly viscous consistency flows through the pump smoothly and the dose can be easily repeated as needed.
- Liquid soaps and cleansing gels for hands and face – pressing the pump at a sink is more practical than flipping open a cap with wet hands.
- Shampoos, conditioners and shower gels – if not too thick, the pump dispenses them reliably. For thicker gel textures we recommend testing the pump in advance.
- Massage and body oils – the pump handles liquid oils; for blends with a higher proportion of essential oils it is advisable to check the behaviour of the PET and seals (see below).
For thick creams, body butters, balms, scrubs with particles or products with flakes the pump is not suitable – the thick mass will not pass through the tube or will clog it.
Filling and volume
The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for under normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is larger. The difference between them is the headspace for the pump tube, which after screwing on displaces some of the contents upward, and for product expansion with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Otherwise the contents will overflow through the neck during closing and contaminate the thread.
After filling and screwing on the pump, press the head several times without product until the tube is filled and the product starts to come out. The first few doses are weaker – this is normal priming of the system, not a pump fault.
When filling liquid products a funnel or a filling bottle with a nozzle is helpful – the 24/410 neck is relatively narrow and product spilled on the thread impairs the seal. Always fill with a cooled product. PET is not designed for hot filling; if the contents are hot, the bottle may deform.
Preparation, cleaning and reuse
Before the first filling we recommend rinsing the bottle with clean water, sanitising with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allowing it to dry completely neck-down. The pump only needs to be rinsed with warm water by pumping water through the head several times, then left to dry. Do not soak the silver aluminium part in aggressive cleaning agents for extended periods.
The set can be used repeatedly. Before refilling, wash the bottle, pump out any residue from the previous product through the tube and head using water, and allow everything to dry completely. Residual water could strain the preservation system of the new contents. When changing a scented product, note that the plastic parts of the pump may retain the scent of the previous fill for a while.
Labels are applied to the cylindrical wall of the bottle. Standard self-adhesive labels adhere well to PET; for products used in the shower we recommend a label with a strong adhesive or lamination.
What's good to know
The bottle has a declaration of suitability for contact with cosmetic products; documentation is available with the product. The pump does not have a separate declaration of suitability for contact with cosmetics, so when using the set as a whole we recommend verifying the pump's behaviour with a specific formulation (seal integrity, material stability, product appearance) as part of the finished product stability test.
Transparent PET does not protect the contents from light. Products containing light-sensitive substances, such as certain vegetable oils, vitamins or natural colorants, may lose colour or scent more quickly in it. For such formulations dark glass or an opaque container is more suitable, or storing away from direct light.
PET tolerates aqueous solutions, emulsions, surfactant-based products and common cosmetic oils well. With formulations containing a high proportion of essential oils, solvents or alcohol the plastic may change in appearance, become cloudy, or the pump seal may deteriorate. Compatibility should be verified in the finished formulation before large-scale filling. Keep the bottle away from heat and direct sunlight; PET softens at higher temperatures.
If you plan to transport the set when filled, we recommend testing the first units on their side to verify the seal between the head and the neck with the specific viscosity of the product.
The bottle has a 24/410 threaded neck, so it can also be combined with other closures with the same neck type from the Handymade range. With a custom combination we recommend verifying the seal and dispensing behaviour with the specific formulation.
The bottle is made from PET and belongs in plastic waste. The pump combines plastic with an aluminium part, so separate it from the bottle before disposal.
