The glass dropper bottle represents a professional packaging suitable for filling various liquid preparations, such as serums, oils, toners or concentrated solutions, as well as for the precise dosing of active ingredients in smaller amounts. In combination with a quality dispensing mechanism, it enables controlled, hygienic and repeatable dosing without unnecessary contact of the contents with air and contamination from the surroundings. Dark glass naturally helps protect the contents from the effects of light, which is advantageous for formulations that are sensitive to external influences.
This glass bottle is designed to be compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems, such as screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators according to the parameters selected for the product. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we recommend always performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass bottle is generally suitable for most oil-based and water-based cosmetic formulations, serums and solutions. However, before final filling we recommend testing the compatibility of the specific formulation with the packaging – especially in terms of colour, fragrance and viscosity stability and behaviour during longer storage. For formulations with a very specific pH or atypical solvents, it is advisable to prepare a trial batch and observe the bottle over several days to weeks.
The glass packaging can be reused provided that basic hygiene rules are followed. Before each new filling it is necessary to thoroughly clean the bottle, rinse it and then disinfect it with a suitable alcoholic preparation, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Leave the disinfectant solution to act, then empty the packaging and let it dry completely at room temperature. Only then is the bottle ready for new filling.
When cleaning dispensing mechanisms we recommend dismantling all accessible parts and thoroughly rinsing them with warm water and a mild cleaning agent that does not leave a film or fragrance. Then rinse the mechanism several times with clean water and afterwards with an alcoholic disinfectant solution. It is important that the individual parts dry completely and that no water remains inside, which could compromise the stability of the new formulation. For very thick or highly pigmented products it is advisable to consider using a new dispensing component.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material indicated in the parameter table for the product. The glass part of the bottle can generally be placed in the appropriate glass container after removing any remaining contents. Plastic or metal components of closures and dispensers should be sorted separately according to their material marking, or handed over within separate waste collection at the collection point. Before recycling it is advisable to rinse the packaging so that no residues of the cosmetic product remain in it.
To choose the right bottle, dropper bottle or jar we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging categories. You will find the advanced filter at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging material category. There you can conveniently filter by neck type, size, colour or material and thus adapt the selection to your product and the planned dosing method. Thanks to the filters you will quickly find suitable packaging for an oil serum, toner, emulsion or another cosmetic preparation.
