The glass bottle with spray atomizer represents a professional solution for packaging cosmetic and hygiene preparations that require fine and even dispersion on the skin, hair or into the air. The combination of a high-quality glass container and a functional atomizer ensures convenient application and stability of the contents during storage and use.
This type of packaging is suitable for liquid products that need precise dosing in the form of a fine mist or spray. Glass is popular for its chemical resistance and minimal interaction with the formulation, which allows safe packaging of a wide range of cosmetic, aromatherapeutic or cleaning solutions. Coloured glass also helps protect sensitive components from light and supports longer stability of the finished product.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dosing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, atomizers or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected for the product. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – checking sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (especially for products with a higher proportion of essential oils or alcohol).
All technical parameters of the packaging are listed in the attached packaging quality certificate and in the product parameters.
The glass packaging is generally very stable towards commonly used cosmetic raw materials, including alcoholic solutions and blends with essential oils. For any new formulation we nevertheless always recommend making a small trial batch and monitoring the behaviour of the product over time (clarity, fragrance, any colour changes) while also checking the functionality of the atomizer at the given viscosity of the preparation.
The packaging can be reused provided that strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the atomizer must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcoholic solution, for example IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, plant-based. After disinfection, allow all parts to dry completely at room temperature. Repeated use is not recommended in the case of visible damage to the glass or fatigue of the atomizer mechanism.
Before the first filling we recommend rinsing the glass packaging with a suitable cleaning solution, then with clean water and allowing it to dry naturally. After drying, it is advisable to disinfect the interior and exterior surfaces with an alcoholic preparation (for example with products available on Handymade) and again allow to air thoroughly. For the atomizer it is important to rinse the dip tube and the atomizer head so that the valve does not become clogged and residues of previous formulations are not transferred.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend first removing any product residues. After rinsing, place the glass part of the bottle in the appropriate glass container according to local waste collection rules. The plastic atomizer must be separated and sorted in accordance with the material designation given in the product parameters on the Handymade website. In case of doubt, follow the recommendations of your local separate waste collection system so that recycling is as efficient as possible.
To select a suitable packaging, we recommend using the extended filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category. In the extended filter you can conveniently combine several criteria, such as the type and diameter of the neck, the size of the packaging, colour and material. In this way you can quickly display only those bottles, vials, jars or pots that best match the needs of your formulation and the method of product application.
