The glass bottle is a professional packaging solution suitable for filling various liquid and slightly viscous formulations where content stability and long-term quality preservation are important. High-quality glass helps protect sensitive ingredients and is suitable for small to medium-sized product batches produced in artisanal and semi-professional manufacturing. Green glass also contributes to reducing light penetration and provides better protection of the contents compared to clear glass, which is especially appreciated by formulations with a higher proportion of botanical extracts and active substances.
Glass bottles are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected at purchase. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking sealing performance, dosing accuracy and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation (viscosity, alcohol content, oil or water base, etc.).

Yes, the glass packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol (for example using the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based). Only after the packaging and closure are completely dry do we recommend filling the bottle again.
Before first use, we recommend rinsing the bottle with warm water and a mild cleaning agent, then thoroughly rinsing it with drinking water and allowing it to drain. After mechanical cleaning, it is appropriate to disinfect the inner surface and the neck of the packaging with alcohol (ALK001 / ALK002) and let the glass dry completely at room temperature. Only then is the bottle ready to be filled with the final product.
The glass medicine bottle is ideal for cosmetic serums, oils, facial and hair elixirs, toners, massage blends and various aromatic concentrates. Thanks to the durable glass and the possibility to combine it with a dropper, spray pump or classic closure, it can serve well in a wide range of projects – from test batches through to final products intended for sale.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the material specified in the product parameters. As standard, once emptied and basically rinsed of product residues, the glass bottle can be placed in the container intended for glass. The closure or any dispenser (if made of plastic or metal) should be separated from the bottle and sorted according to the respective material. By following these rules, you support efficient recycling and waste reduction.
