Clear plastic jar with black lid represents a practical and universal solution for packaging a wide variety of cosmetic preparations, balms and more solid blends. The transparent plastic body allows quick visual inspection of the contents, while the lid ensures reliable closure and hygienic protection of the product. Thanks to the appropriately selected material, this jar is stable, lightweight and withstands normal handling well during manufacturing as well as use.
The jar is ideal for artisan cosmetics makers, small production workshops and home formulators who are looking for an aesthetic and functional container for their products. It is suitable for filling creamy, gel-based and more solid preparations that require easy and repeated scooping with fingers or a spatula.
Combinations of containers and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test (sealing, dosage and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation). In this way you ensure that your product will work reliably in practice, without unwanted leakage or impact on the stability of the formula.

The jar can be reused if proper hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling it is necessary to clean the container thoroughly and then disinfect it. For disinfection we recommend using the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. In this way you minimise the risk of microbial contamination and extend the safe usability of your cosmetic preparations.
If you decide not to reuse the jar any more, we recommend emptying it, cleaning off product residues and then sorting it according to the material information in the product parameters. Plastic parts belong in the appropriate plastic recycling container according to local recycling rules. It is always advisable to separate the body of the jar and the lid to make sorting more efficient. In this way you support responsible handling of packaging materials and their reprocessing.
Yes, thanks to its low weight and sturdy construction the jar is also suitable for travelling. The screw lid helps minimise the risk of accidental opening during transport. Before first using it for travel sizes we recommend doing a trial test – fill the jar with a small amount of product, close it, shake it and leave it in various positions to verify the sealing with your specific formula.
The jar is ideal for thick and semi-solid formulations that are scooped out with a finger or spatula – for example body butters, balms, rich creams, scrubs or solid conditioners. For very thin and liquid preparations it may be more practical to use bottles with a dispenser or dropper, so that you have better control over dosing and minimise the risk of spillage.
