The plastic bottle with disc top closure represents a practical solution for packaging liquid and lightly viscous products where convenient dispensing and clean application are important. Thanks to reliable sealing and a durable material, the packaging is suitable for everyday use in cosmetics as well as in artisanal production, while allowing hygienic and controlled withdrawal of the contents without unnecessary waste.
The construction of the bottle in combination with the disc top cap ensures comfortable one‑handed opening and precise dispensing directly into the palm, onto a cotton pad or onto the area being treated. This type of packaging is especially popular for products that require quick use, good handling and an aesthetic presentation of the final product.
Combinations of packaging and closures that are created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test (sealing, dosing and behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation).
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
The disc top cap is primarily designed for low‑ to medium‑viscosity preparations that flow easily through the opening with gentle squeezing of the bottle. With very thick creams or gels, dispensing may be less comfortable, therefore for a new formula we recommend testing the flow of the product and throughput through the closure in a small trial quantity in advance.
The packaging can be reused if hygiene principles are observed, but we always recommend thorough cleaning and disinfection before each new filling. To disinfect the inner surface of the bottle and closure you can use technical ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant‑based. After rinsing and disinfection, let the packaging dry thoroughly to minimize the risk of microbial contamination of the new product.
We recommend storing filled bottles in a dry place, at a stable room temperature, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat. Always tighten the closure carefully to minimize air access and the risk of evaporation of volatile components. For products containing plant oils and sensitive actives it is advisable to avoid long‑term exposure to higher temperatures, which could accelerate oxidation or change the consistency.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend emptying it, removing any product residues if necessary, and sorting it according to the material designation specified in the product parameters. The bottle body and closure usually belong in the container for sorted plastic, and it is advisable to separate the individual parts (bottle, cap, any insert) to facilitate the recycling process. Always follow the local waste sorting rules in your municipality or city and the recommendations given for the specific type of packaging on the Handymade website.
