Product description

This is a ready-made set consisting of a small white plastic bottle with a capacity of 10 ml and a white cream dispenser that screws onto the bottle and dispenses the contents by pressing. It is suitable wherever a small amount of product needs to be dispensed hygienically and in precise doses: for samples, travel sizes, eye creams, serums, light creams and facial emulsions. The white opaque plastic shields the contents from light, making it suitable for formulations with more sensitive ingredients, such as vitamins or plant extracts. The bottle is lightweight and unbreakable, so it holds up well in a cosmetic bag or when sending samples to customers.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. A certificate for direct food contact is held separately by the bottle only; the complete set is intended for cosmetics.

What the set is suitable for

  • Samples and trial sizes – the small volume allows a sample to be distributed without opening the full packaging, and the dispenser prevents finger contact with the contents.
  • Eye creams and concentrated serums – products used in small amounts are dispensed in tiny doses without waste.
  • Light creams, emulsions and gels – liquid to semi-liquid textures pass through the dispenser tube without difficulty, and the packaging is not opened during use.
  • Travel sizes – the bottle is unbreakable and the closed dispenser system is far less likely to spill in a bag than an open jar.

How the dispenser works

The cream dispenser has a tube that reaches to the bottom of the bottle. Each press releases a small, approximately equal dose (its volume can be found in the product parameters), making it easy to measure out the product during everyday use. Unlike a jar, the contents do not come into contact with fingers, which reduces the risk of introducing microorganisms. However, the dispenser is not an airless system: air enters the bottle with each draw, so standard preservation should be used as with any open packaging.

The dispenser reliably draws liquid to medium-viscosity textures. With thick creams or butters it may clog or pump empty, so we recommend testing the viscosity on a trial batch before filling a full production run.

Filling and volume

A distinction is made between the nominal volume and the total capacity to the brim. The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for under standard filling conditions. The total volume is the physical space up to the neck. The difference provides a reserve for the dispenser tube and for slight expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim — otherwise, when the dispenser is screwed on, part of the contents will be forced out through the neck.

After screwing on the dispenser, it must be pressed several times without output until the tube fills and the contents begin to come out. This is normal on first use and is not a defect.

Good to know

  • Preparation before first filling – we recommend washing both the bottle and dispenser before first use, sanitising with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allowing them to dry completely. The packaging is not sterile.
  • Material and contents – the bottle is made of PET, the dispenser of PP. Both materials are compatible with water-based and oil-based cosmetic bases. For formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils, alcohol or solvents, we recommend checking the plastic for integrity and appearance after prolonged contact with the specific formulation.
  • Closures and combinations – additional closures with the same neck type and ready-made combinations of the bottle with other closures are available in the Handymade range. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying compatibility and dispensing performance with the specific product.
  • Labelling – the cylindrical shape of the bottle allows a label to be applied around the circumference. With such a small package, it is worth designing the label economically and considering whether the mandatory information can be added to a box or package insert.
  • Reuse – the packaging can be refilled after thorough washing and disinfection. We recommend rinsing the dispenser tube with clean water and allowing it to dry completely; otherwise residues of the previous product remain inside.
  • Recycling – the bottle belongs to PET plastics and the dispenser to PP plastics; we recommend separating them before disposal.

The complete set is not intended for food use. Only the bottle itself holds a certificate for direct food contact; the dispenser does not. For homemade oils, syrups or infusions, choose a bottle with a different closure that also carries a food-contact certificate.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 10 ml plastic bottle with dispenser suitable for eye cream?
Yes, the bottle and cream dispenser set is suitable for eye creams. Eye cream is used in small amounts, so the small dose per press makes measuring easier and prevents product waste. The white bottle protects the contents from light, and dispensing without finger contact reduces the risk of contamination. The cream must, however, be fluid enough for the dispenser to draw it.
Can the cream dispenser dispense thick cream or body butter?
No, the tube dispenser does not reliably draw thick creams and body butters. It is designed for liquid to medium-viscosity textures, such as serums, emulsions, lotions and light creams. With thick contents, the tube clogs or the dispenser pumps empty. We recommend filling denser formulations into a jar or a bottle with a standard cap.
Does the white plastic bottle protect the contents from light?
Yes, the white opaque PET plastic reduces light exposure to the contents. It is therefore suitable for serums and creams with more sensitive ingredients, such as vitamins, plant extracts or certain active substances that degrade more quickly in light. Light protection does not, however, replace appropriate preservation or antioxidants in water-based and oil-based formulations.
Can the plastic bottle with dispenser be reused?
Yes, both the bottle and dispenser can be refilled after emptying. Simply wash the bottle, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry. The dispenser tube should be rinsed with clean water and pumped several times so that no residue from the previous product remains inside. When changing product, we recommend using a new dispenser to be safe.
Is the bottle and dispenser set suitable for food?
No, the complete set is not declared for food contact. Only the plastic bottle itself holds a certificate for direct food contact; the cream dispenser does not. The complete set is therefore intended for cosmetic products. If you need packaging for homemade oils or syrups, choose a bottle with a closure that also carries a food-contact certificate.
