This glass bottle with spray dispenser is ready for immediate use with the supplied dispensing mechanism, and the combinations of containers and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend performing your own compatibility test – checking tightness, dosing smoothness, the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, and the stability of the product during storage.

Yes, the container can be reused if hygiene principles are observed. Before each refilling, both the bottle and the spray head must be thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol solution, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. This minimises the risk of microbial contamination and undesirable changes in your formulations.
The spray dispenser is particularly suitable for low-viscosity liquids such as facial and floral waters, hair tonics, aromatherapeutic and interior sprays, or light body mists. With thicker emulsions or oil blends with a high content of solid particles, the fine misting can deteriorate, so it is always advisable to test the behaviour of the specific formula in this type of packaging in advance.
First empty the bottle and rinse it with a suitable cleaning solution or with warm water and a mild surfactant. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water, allow it to dry, and disinfect it with alcohol before filling, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. For the spray head, we recommend pumping a small amount of alcohol through it several times to flush the internal capillary and mechanism.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material types listed in the product specifications. The glass part of the bottle can typically be placed in the glass recycling container after emptying and basic rinsing. The plastic spray dispenser and any metal components should be separated and sorted according to local rules for plastic and metal collection. Always follow the current recommendations for waste sorting in your municipality.
