Yes, the glass medicine bottle is suitable for packaging concentrated serums, oils and other liquid cosmetic products, provided they are materially compatible with the glass and the selected closure. Before the final filling, we recommend performing a trial test with a small amount of the formulation to verify the behaviour of the product in the packaging, the sealing of the closure and the comfort of dosing.
The bottle can be used repeatedly if strict hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the packaging must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, ideally using a suitable alcohol, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. When changing the type of product (for example from an oil-based to an aqueous solution) we recommend even more careful cleaning, in order to avoid residual odours or components that could affect the new formulation.
First we recommend mechanically cleaning the bottle (rinsing, or gently washing with a suitable cleaning agent and thoroughly rinsing with clean water). After drying, disinfection with alcohol follows – for this purpose you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Apply the alcohol by spraying or rinsing the interior, allow it to act and then let the packaging dry naturally in a clean environment.
If you decide not to use the packaging any further, we recommend recycling it according to the type of material indicated in the product parameter table. The glass part can generally be placed, after cleaning off product residues and removing the closure, in the container intended for glass. The plastic or combined closure is sorted separately according to the material mark. Always follow the local waste sorting rules and the information in the product parameters so that recycling is as effective as possible.
