The glass bottle with a flat top is a universal packaging material for manufacturers of cosmetics, natural preparations and homemade formulations. The transparent glass allows for immediate visual inspection of the contents, which you will appreciate for serums, tinctures, extracts and other liquid and partially viscous formulations. The smooth shape of the bottle makes labeling and professional product identification easier, while glass is a stable and long‑proven material suitable for many cosmetic and technical solutions.
Glass bottles of this type are compatible with various types of closures and dispensing systems (for example screw caps, droppers, spray pumps or practical applicators) according to the parameters selected at purchase. Combinations of packaging and closures created directly on Handymade are tested and functional. However, for all combinations we always recommend carrying out your own compatibility test – especially in terms of sealing, dosing and the behaviour of the packaging in contact with the specific formulation, so that you can verify the long‑term stability of the product.
All technical parameters of the packaging are specified in the attached Packaging Quality Certificate and in the product parameters.
With proper handling, the glass packaging can be used repeatedly, but we recommend reusing it only within the same or a very similar product group. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with an appropriate agent, for example with isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol. Adhering to hygiene principles (washing, rinsing, disinfection, sufficient drying) is crucial for the safety and stability of the finished product.
If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it according to the material type specified in the product parameters. Before placing the glass container in the separate collection system, it is advisable to empty it and roughly rinse out any product residues. The bottle itself belongs in the container intended for glass; any plastic or metal components of the closure should be sorted according to their material. Always follow local waste‑sorting rules and the material labelling of the packaging in the product parameter table on the Handymade website.
This type of glass bottle is particularly ideal for liquid and less viscous cosmetic formulations, such as facial serums, oils, toners, drop blends, tinctures intended for external use, aromatherapeutic compositions, test solutions and laboratory samples. When choosing, we recommend taking into account the viscosity of the blend and then adapting the type of closure or dispenser (dropper, spray pump, standard screw cap, etc.) in order to achieve convenient and safe product application.
When filling, it is important to work in the cleanest possible environment, to use suitable filling tools and not to overfill the bottle, in order to ensure proper closure. Before closing, check the neck to make sure that no residues of oil or emulsion remain, as these could compromise the seal. During storage, protect the finished product from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight, which can affect the stability of certain active substances. Always follow the recommendations for the specific formulation and regularly check the appearance, odour and consistency of the product.
For quick and clear searching, we recommend using the advanced filter in the online shop. You will find it at the top of the page after clicking on a specific packaging category (for example bottles, jars or medicine bottles). In the advanced filter you can conveniently combine several parameters at once – in particular the type and size of the neck, the overall size of the packaging, the colour and the material. This will allow you to easily find packaging that will best suit your product and the intended method of dispensing, both from a technical and design perspective.
