Avocado butter is a solid plant-based emollient derived from avocado oil that replenishes fats in skin and hair and helps them retain moisture. The base of the raw material is avocado oil of African origin, the solid consistency is provided by hydrogenated vegetable oil, and the composition is complemented by tocopherol. The butter has a neutral scent and according to the manufacturer's data is quickly absorbed without a greasy film on the skin.

It is suitable wherever the formulation needs a solid fat component: in body butters, creams, lip balms, hair masks and pomades. The neutral scent makes it easy to work with essential oils and fragrance compositions; the butter does not overpower them. The raw material is vegan, free from palm oil components and preservative-free.

In emulsions, it is added to the oil phase before emulsification and behaves like a typical solid emollient: it increases the consistency of the cream and gives it a richer feel on the skin.

The recommended processing temperature is up to 80 °C. It is sufficient to heat the mixture just enough to melt the fats; prolonged overheating is not necessary.

The butter is suitable for both rinse-off and leave-on products. In hair cosmetics, it is used in masks and conditioners, where the fats remain on the hair longer, but it can also be used in rinse-off products.
